So after much brainstorming and just throwing bologna at the walls to see what sticks it came to me. A pop-up window showing the enemies face, with Taunts when beating the player and pain when defeated. So in this video that's what I'm showing off. And this weekend I'll be doing the same with villagers and those you talk to in the castle. Tell me what you think and I hope you enjoy it. Also, once further testing is completed this version will be posted shortly after.
I've been working away adding a soundtrack made by me for the game using an old version of qbasic I found. This game has it all.
Its the perfect marriage between crpg gaming and retroness.
My latest build of azthengar 2026.04.25, this one took a lot out of me, but its been my dream to make a genesis like game so im pretty pumped. Like a mama bird filled with joy to find none of her babies on the ground.
