What happened to Kayn?

I last played 2 or 3 seasons ago was either the season with the mythic items or the one after that. Had a really good win rate one trick on Kayn got to my highest rank at the time plat 2 or 3 with a 60+% win rate.

I’ve come back this season and am playing ranked again. played 5 games on him this season and lost 4 of them. Just felt so hopeless. Had one pretty good game where I went blue and got form around 8 mins but even then I felt like if we hadn’t ended as soon as we had I was getting out-scaled fast.

Rhaast was always my favourite form but it just seems like he’s a worse version of other junglers now.

I’ve pretty much completely switched over to my old second pick champ and now one trick pantheon. And I just hit plat 1 🥳

Have I just lost my touch with Kayn big time or did he get nerfed hard recently or just been powercrept.

Taking kills

Been climbing on support playing pantheon recently. And I had a game recently where my adc was cursing me constantly because I was getting a lot of kills. Blaming me for them being super behind and not being in the game at all. Now I can’t imagine it was all my fault that they were 1/12. But i did feel a bit bad about it.

I don’t purposely deny kills to the laners and jungle by any means but i will take the kill if i think there’s any chance that the target might either kill one of my team or manage to escape.

I was thinking about it again after my recent game where I was 16/4/12 by the end of the game. Which was by far the most kills on the team.

Am I trolling by taking kills?

Dealing with garen

Just played a game where I was laning into garen went really well early putting a few kills past him and getting him behind on cs. but later in the game he seemed to be able to beat me despite my lead.

Not necessarily unique to playing pantheon as well. Seems to happen a lot in my games. Garen just ends up being a major PITA late game.

So many Smurfs

I’m playing in plat now just started climbing ranked after a long time out and almost every single game is just dominated by Smurf accounts. Played 20 or so games in solos now and I’d say only 5 or 6 of them have had more than 3 people on their main acc. All these people are just on lvl 30-60 accounts called tryndrulez or fiddleotp

It sucks. Cos these guys on burner accounts dont care at all about the outcome of the games I had 4 games in a row last night where I ended up getting refunded LP because these guys just leave or run it down at the slightest inconvenience.

One game we were winning all lanes. Free win. Then my tryndamere mid chases someone all the way into their base and dies. My botlane pings him missing. He puts a message in the chat. “Wrong person to ping, I’m going to make you regret it” he just starts running under mid tower constantly. My adc just leaves the game at that point. My top laner says just report them to which I say it doesn’t matter they’re on burner accounts anyway. Tryndamere jokes about how I’m finally getting it in the chat. My top laner says he doesn’t care about the loss because it’s not his main acc.

Is this just league of legends now? Is it just my elo?

I feel like we should have to link our accounts to something. Because it’s just ridiculous.

Edit: so after making the post in a bit of a knee jerk. I did review my op.gg and it’s not as egregious as I’d initially thought. I guess I just remember the worse games more than the better ones. But even still not a single game has had less than 3 people on brand new accounts so where I may have over exaggerated I think my point stands. There should be some sort of MFA.

Also I’m not blaming smurfs for my rank. The other team has just as much chance of getting someone who just trolls as soon as it looks bad for them.

Hubris first?

I’ve been building it first item in a lot of my games recently as I tend to get quite a lot of kills/kp when I play pantheon (I play him jungle). And I think the stacking ad is pretty nice. But since coming back to the game there’s a lot of items I don’t really recognise and haven’t had a chance to play much yet.

My build path usually atm is hubris-Boots-sundered-cleaver-voltaic- last item is usually just to counter whoever is their carry.

Just not sure if the extra ad is worth or not over some of the other items in the game.

Rank prejudice

TLDR at the end

Why do people say that ‘you aren’t good until your diamond’

Where does this come from?

I’ve been pretty proud of myself cos I hit Plat 1 solo q jungle (was one win off emerald then I flubbed it to low plat 1 again 💀)

And I’ve been overheard/been told on a couple of separate occasions by different people that you aren’t good at league unless you’re Diamond. It’s a little disheartening.

Isn’t diamond like top 5% of all players surely being diamond makes you an excellent player, like top tier beyond good.

TLDR: Am I just a low elo baby with delusions of grandeur, or is this sentiment coming from basement dwelling chuds that I shouldn’t listen to.

Need help with a ‘Silly’ oneshot

TLDR: need ideas for a silly campaign to give my players a break.

So I’ve been running a lot of short campaigns/miniseries and some one shots alongside the multi year campaign I’m playing in to let our DM play and the players get to do some new things they wouldn’t usually be able to try.

My past like 4 or 5 have been very dark fantasy or with very lofty goals and serious tones and ran at pretty high level.

Decided that as a palette cleanser I’d offer to run a one shot or short campaign that was a lot more whimsy or silly and ran low level 3-5 starting level.

Problem: I’ve been thinking for a couple weeks now and have no idea what to do. I’ve got endless ideas for campaigns with more serious goals but can’t think of anything for something whimsical and silly.

How did TSONs turn traitor

Most of the other traitor legions turned to chaos over time in no small part due to the lodges that built up within the legions. And by the time Horus decided to turn on the emperor he’d already secured the loyalty of all of his allies.

The only exception as far as I’ve read is the thousand sons who from what I can tell were very much loyal still. Horus manipulated Russ into his crusade against them and then there was the burning of prospero.

Did Magnus declare against the emperor right after or was there more to it?

Pre heresy/loyalist books?

Just finished reading the battle for the abyss and damn. Mhotep really stole the show, cool, charismatic, powerful. He just kept saving the day time and again and despite the prosecution of the space wolves on board their ship he was fiercely loyal to the cause.

So I want to read more loyal thousand sons stuff. Which books can I read that showcase them before becoming traitors.

Fuck the space wolves btw the more they pop up in lore the more it makes me dislike them.
