In your opinion, what can other 4X games learn from Age of Wonders 4?

What's a feature or strength of Age of Wonders 4 that you'd like to see explored more in other 4X games, regardless of the setting?

New Game mode on Beta: Dynamic Operations

Quotes from Marco:

  • How it works: It dynamically creates a different battle every time (seed based, so it can be replicated). Conquering areas gives you win point and tickets to spend for calling in better equipped reinforcements
  • The Gamemode is a WIP prototype, but if expanded it will contain in world artilleries, plane spawns, ammo crates and static guns distributed around the map
  • More than anything, this Gamemode is intended to be a showcase of what it is possible to do just using in-game mission scripting
  • Make sure to enjoy this as it might either be worked on and evolved or scrapped entirely

Looking for harder attack missions in Easy Red 2 (default bot settings)

Hello everyone

I’ve been playing Easy Red 2 for a while and I noticed that all the attack missions feel quite easy when using the default bot settings.

Because of that, I’d like to ask the community:

  • Which missions do you think are the hardest with the native/default bot configuration?
  • Are there specific maps or scenarios that give you a real challenge without changing the bot count?
  • Any recommendations for missions that really test your skills?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions! I’m looking forward to trying something more difficult.

City Stability rework

Now there is several ways to increase the city stability with the development skill tree, perhaps it's time to make low stability more punishing, like total war or humankind, they should spawn rebel army, deplete city population, block army production or even make lose total control of the city, specially non throne city. What you guys think?

12+ hours after DLC reveal...And people still discussing about it non stop on the official discord

People are very eager with the content revealed earlier. Long time I have seen so much expectation to a expansion release (me included).

I have no doubt this DLC will be a fan favorite among Giant Kings and Dragon Dawn
