Need reliable Wi-Fi for a 2-hour video call near City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (tomorrow 10 AM - 12 PM)

My mom and I are visiting the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas and I need a reliable internet connection for a video call tomorrow from 10 AM to noon.
The temple’s Wi-Fi isn’t accessible to the public, my phone’s hotspot is getting under 10 Mbps, and the nearby Starbucks Wi-Fi is also under 10 Mbps. None of these are reliable enough for a video call.
Does anyone know a nearby spot with fast, stable Wi-Fi I could use for just those two hours? I want to avoid using library Wi-Fi because I don’t want to disturb anyone during my video meeting. Thank you in advance.

LOT Airlines in Krakow asked me for a second form of ID beyond my passport. Is this normal?

I'm a US citizen and was checking in at the LOT Airlines counter at Krakow Airport. The agent asked me for a second form of ID in addition to my passport. I happened to have my driver's license on me, which I almost never travel with since I usually just carry my passport.

I've been to 40+ countries and this is the first time I've ever been asked for this. My passport has always been sufficient everywhere else.

Why would an airline ask for a second ID when a passport is already sufficent? And my name on my ticket matches my passport.

In addition, If I hadn't had my driver's license with me, what would have actually happened?

Thanks.

Traveling 9 months/year - what's the best US plan to keep active while abroad and still cover ~50GB/month when home

TLDR: Traveling ~9 months/year internationally (using local eSIMs abroad), home in USA 2-3 months/year needing ~50GB/month domestic data, and must keep a real US number active for SMS verification. Best plan?

Currently on Mint Mobile but I'm reconsidering my options. I travel internationally ~9 months out of the year, so I rely on eSIMs abroad, but every now and then I'm home for 2-3 months and actually need a solid domestic plan. But when I am home (USA) I need an esim that will allow me to use ~50 GB a month.

Keep in mind I need to keep a real US number active for SMS verification (not everyone accepts Google Voice for SMS verification).

Any recommendations?

edit: I forgot to mention, I would like to be able to downgrade the plan to save money while I am abroad.

Thank you in advance.

I'm getting my roof replaced and called a few roofers, all with 5-star ratings on Google and Yelp.

During one of the calls, I mentioned that my garage was converted to an ADU and I wasn't sure if it had a permit, so I asked if the roof replacement could be done without pulling a permit. The roofer said he'd need one but would make sure not to mention the ADU to the inspector.

For context, my mom was the one who did the conversion years ago, so I honestly don't know the full history of what was or wasn't permitted. I inherited this situation.

There's another roofer I'd rather hire since he's $3,000 cheaper and has equally good reviews. My concern is that the first roofer, knowing about my unpermitted ADU, might report it to the county out of spite if I don't go with him.

For peace of mind, should I just hire the first roofer who is more expensive since he already knows about the situation? Or am I overthinking this?

Thanks.
