I'm constantly impressed at what a strong leader the Captain is. He's clearly a skilled Captain to have progressed to a boat of the size and status he is in charge of. Beyond his seamanship his excellence as as leader is truly impressive.

Kerry takes no shit and sets high standards which he combines with a high level of emotional intelligence. I'm impressed with the humanity he shows his crew , his willingness to face the tough matters head on but at the same time he is calm under pressure and takes time to consider issue rather than make reactionary rash decisions or at the other end he doesn't muck around withy wishy washy indecisiveness. He has the respect of his crew and it's well deserved .

It's just a realty show but there's a lot he does that would make a good case study for business schools teaching young people to become future leaders

So I work in Fiji and was having drinks the other night with some friends . Most of the guys own their own businesses or have high paying jobs as thats why the Expat community comes to Fiji.

Anyway all the gossip at the bar was rumours of supposedly a huge find at one of the local mines . There's 2 or 3 mines in Fiji . Crazy to think the mine is just 15 miles from the Intl airport .

Anyway my friend sent me some analysis that I partially understood by asking google what all the numbers mean . . I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the summary my friend sent so I won't post it

I looked at the prices and the volume of sales went vertical in just one day . I don't know if it's the hype or whether this is a truly big deal. Would appreciate any experienced gold investors advise. Do you think the price explosion means it's too late as the price went up about 25% in one day just 2 days ago

I did a web search and read the post made by the company about the gold strike and it seems legit . The company is called Lion One Metals ..Ya'll can look yourself as I don't think I'm allowed to post links on here . Would appreciate your thoughts

My scooter is flashed using SHU firmware so I can get 45 kph . Everything works perfectly. The thing I don't know is do I need roll back the SHU software and use the Segway software again to do a software update after installing the 48v external battery to get the 48v battery working correctly as far as the display goes with the increased range ; charge state of the battery etc .

I understand that after the latest Segway firmware update that SHU software no longer works i.e if you roll back the SHU software and revert to the Segway app you can't go back to using the SHU software because the latest Segway firmware update prevents it from working due to fix Segway mate that stops the SHU software getting an encryption key from the Segway server ; which in turn means the Segway software will revert the scooter back to a max speed of 25kph? A more simple question is after installing the 48v external battery do you have to do a Segway software update ?

I see the GT3 battery is back in stock in the USA and I want to buy one to import.

I used the scooter hack utility software to flash my scooter so I could increase the speed to 45kph. I'm in a country with no scooter speed limit but unbeknown to me the scooter I was sold by the retailer is a European serial number ( I'm not in Europe) but the speed was limited to 25kph. I exported the scooter from the country of purchase to the tiny island nation where I work.

I'm now wondering if I upgrade the battery or buy the external battery do I need to use the Segway app to get remaining battery percentage information or need other Segway software updates once a GT3 battery or external 48v Segway battery is used ? If I roll back the SHU software and or use the Segway app again presumably it will reduce the speed back to 25kph .

Before anyone says just go slower and deal with 25kph ; I specifically purchased a scooter that can do 40kph-45kph because it allows me to get to work and airborne within a required time frame if I get an emergency call out for a rescue or medivac . A car typically won't make the time frame because of traffic but the scooter will make it on time ; which in turn means I can be at home doing chores or whatever while on standby ; rather than sitting around a crew room waiting for a callout that may not come.

1. I can't remember whether I disabled the unlock pattern for the power on my Max G3 prior to using the scooter hacking utility software or whether it disappeared as a result of using the SHU software . Using a pattern or lock code is a handy additional layer of security that I'd prefer to have enabled if possible while also using the SHU firmware

2. I purchased the Max G3 in New Zealand and according to the information I read online I received a German model as the 4th letter in the serial number is a D. Whatever version I had my speed was limited to 25kph which then makes me think it can't have been a German version as I believe their scooters are limited to 20kph . Regardless , the Segway app recognised I had exported the scooter from New Zealand and correctly had my new location and then limited the speed to 25kph

I would like to roll back the software and enable the locking pattern or a locking code via the Segway App but wanted to check whether I'm wasting my time because the locking sequence is wiped by the SHU software or whether recent firmware updates by Segway would prevent me re-hacking the scooter again. ?

3. Everything works fine as far as the scooter goes with the SHU firmware in place ; the speed upgrade to 28 mph /45km/h is far more important to me than the lock code working hence seeking advice here. I don't want to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory and discover I can't re-use the SHU software if I roll it back and use the Segway app
