My boyfriend keeps hitting his cube what do i do is this normal
Im going to summarize best I can as not to have this be a super long post so here we go. So my boyfriend (20M) recently bought one of those popular tiktok squishy toys that's in the shape of a hard gelatin cube. Im unsure of what theyre called but its a semi transparent cube and its purple. Ever since he got it about a week ago its been with him all the time. He carries it around in his bag with his bananas (whole other story that would need its own explaining) and will take it out in order to squeeze and slap it. At first I didn't really care I figured it was something to help him focus or perhaps a fidget toy for coping in stressful situations but lately he has been treating it in odd ways. He will slap it and say things like "naughty cube" or "You've been a bad cube" before going right back to what he was doing as if he said nothing. At first I just laughed because it honestly was really funny and i thought he was joking but now its been a week and he does it all the time. He will whisper it when we're on the couch watching TV or go to our room alone and ill hear him "abusing his cube" as he says. It's starting to become weird and i dont know how to take the comments he's saying like "dirty little cube" Im worried it might be a weird sex thing because the joke has gone on way too long. I'm kinda hoping he'll just stop on his own but like i said before its been a week of this. Should i be concerned? What do i do and how do i even adress this with him? I dont wanna be that guy and ask him if he's still joking or ruin the joke but like how am i meant to take this?
EDIT: Update. You guys said I should go check on him in our bedroom. I did. When I walked in i honestly couldnt believe it. He was pants around his ankles blowing raspberries into it and giggling. I asked him what the fuck he's doing because what the fuck????? He sat up and pulled his pants up and said he "just really liked the feeling of it" and that "its not a big deal im just fucking around" I told him this is mental and he needs to cut it out right now and hand over the cube. He got kinda upset and said it helped him a lot. he laughed and said it was all just a joke and I'm taking it too serious. I took the cube for now he's going to shower because he has work in 20 minutes and i told him he cannot take the cube with him and he CANNOT buy another one on his way to work. I swear to god if this fucking fidget toy is the end of our relationship i will be pissed.
BANANA STORY: Okay so he's off showering at the moment and while he's doing that im gonna give the banana story since so many people asked for it. My boyfriend goes to the gym a lot and he always brings three bananas with him wherever he goes. Ive told him this is weird and asked him why he does it and he says its for his potassium intake. I kinda just figured it was one of his quirks and that he would just grab one whenever he left but he consistently has exactly THREE on him at any given time and is sure to have THREE before leaving the house. I dont know why he needs three bananas in his gym bag or why he insists on buying so many at the store but when I ask him about it he just brushes it off and eats another fucking banana.
