Run for Cover records were giving away a free 2026 sampler CD at Outbreak fest this weekend in Manchester. I made the display boxes for them.

I believe they’ll be going into record stores around the UK and Europe later in the year, I say that as I have to make another 80-100 of these units!

A great selection of bands

I posted on here 18 months ago. I finally relaunched my unique and custom music packaging business a couple of weeks ago. This is my studio set up.

I’ve made close to 90,000 pieces of music packaging, a lot of which entirely by hand with a scalpel and ruler. I put together a series showing step by step how to make your own packaging, providing templates, tips, tricks and advice.

I started out my packaging company in 2010, making pretty much everything by hand, over the years I figured out a few ways to get things cut in other ways, but I was still for the most part using a scalpel and ruler daily.

I wrapped the business up 8 years ago, and eventually found a job in the structural packaging world. Long story short, I’m picking the music packaging thing back up with everything I learned to massively improve what I can offer. I don’t need to cut packaging by hand anymore so I thought I’d share what I picked up to people who want to make their own physical stuff.

Some of you are going to HATE this (/me) but, today I’ve relaunched my short run unique and custom music packaging company today after 8 years away, and these are the CD packaging options available.

I’ve posted the pop up CD cases I’ve designed here in the past on here which people were into, but, I get that a lot of people aren’t into card packaging. I’m a one man operation, not a team of people, so go easy on me. I’m just making what people want to offer their fans.

I used to only be able to offer 3 or 4 CD options, but with the new set up and skills learned in the 8 years since doing this first time round, there’s 10 options from day one as standard, ranging from a simple 2 panel CD slipcase, up to a massive 12 panel behemoth.

I’ve been working on this for 18 months, and I’m sure I’ll get some abuse for doing this, but it’s me doing something to help smaller bands shift more copies in a nicer package so they can continue to be bands. Taking what I learned from the first time I did this where everything was self taught, and applying all the skills I learned in the structural packaging world to massively improve my offerings. I’ve always been told that by comparison the things I used to make sold better than a standard CD on the merch table…

More info on the options here https://www.acdsleeve.com/cdpackaging

I can also finally offer all vinyl packaging options for the first time…

About a year ago posted a few cassette packaging designs which I designed and made, which some of you seemed really into. Today I’ve relaunched my unique and custom music packaging company, these are the cassette options I’m now offering

This might be of interest to some of you. This has been 18 months in the works, 6 of which in new studio space getting to grips with the new kit. I only ever had one cassette case option available at at time, now I have 5!

I’m a one man operation, not a team, I do everything here so go easy on me.

I’m restarting my unique and custom music packaging company after 8 years away, learning about the structural packaging and taking that to massively improve everything.

Some of you may be into this

Last time I did this so much was hand made, it felt like a hobby which got out of control, a lot was made with a scalpel and ruler. I’m now able to make some really unique packaging options from working in the structural packaging world…and selling my house to invest in kit that can cut/crease everything so no more scalpels n rulers!

I’ve been working on this for 18 months, 6 of those working in the new studio, it’s pretty exciting, but also a little daunting.

Everything launches very soon, this is a bit of an experiment in making videos explaining the process…go easy on me

Crag Mask - Bend. Like if Circa Survive, Tera Melos, Pile and mewithoutYou had a lovechild

Discovered this about a week ago and can’t stop listening, think some of you would be into it. A few people have said they had to give it a listen or two to get used to the vocals, but as a big fan of unique vocalists it clicked immediately.

Crazy that the album is 7 years old and I’ve never heard the band name even in passing.

Djung lost his best mate Woody just over a year ago

He’s not been the same since. We miss him.

(Just found this subreddit, thought some of you might enjoy the Djung/Woody content)

Never seen these before

Bought in Oseyo Manchester, UK. Really nice combo of the spice of original Shin and Toomba being a stir fry, with Kimchi. Original is a bit on the hot side for me but Kimchi and Toomba are all time favourites, so this is pretty great. It’s not creamy like Toomba though.

Surprised this hasn’t been posted here, interested to hear what her math inspo is. Been listening to the album a lot this week since this popped up on Audiotree, a lot more chill than I’d usually listen to, but really good stuff.

Working on bringing back ACDSleeve, my unique and custom music packaging company, I say company, it’s just me doing everything.

While the double pop out may not be coming back this time, it’s still probably the most important thing I’ve ever designed, bringing what I do to peoples attention.
