I bought these in the mid to late 80s at a head shop in Huntsville, Alabama. I wouldn't mind finding the artist. He had several guitarists prints. I'm pretty sure I also bought a Gilmour but I don't have it.
We would all love it if there was a Southpaw Guitars in our area. I get it. But to me, there is something special about seeing a left handed guitar. We all walk into a shop and immediately look for a lefty. They may only have one lefty but I don't care if it's a $200 guitar surrounded by $2000 guitars, that's a cool instrument just because it's lefty....Maybe it's just me

Relief and action are both good. I used my .016, .018, and .020 to measure my nut height and they're pretty tight. But none of them buzz. I am perfectly satisfied with the tone and playability. I'm just familiarizing myself with my new set up tools.
What do you do in this case? Add a little neck relief? I'm not going to worry about it since my instrument plays very nicely. Just trying to learn this stuff

I just got my M120 today, a new one. I have an LG2 so this Guild is my "outdoors around the firepit picking on the front porch" guitar. I am way over protective of my LG2. I could not be any more pleased with this Guild. This little thing packs a nice little punch. Very full solid Hog tone. I would be surprised if someone showed me a better sounding 0/00 for under $1000. Beautiful craftsmanship as well.
Tanya Shpachuk on YouTube. I am fascinated by the luthier skillset and love watching her videos. To me, she's brilliant. Maybe a professional luthier has a different opinion.
from Music Nomad and String Pluckery. I have always wanted to learn the skill and the luthiers in my area stay backed up. I have a Gibson LG2 and a Guild M120, both with a professional set up, but I will practice on my Martin Junior. I might even buy a new guitar. I need a Martin 00
I don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for a set up. I am handy. I fix things around the house. But I have never set up an acoustic. I saw several set up vids on YouTube. I have no doubt that, with patience, I can accomplish this task. I would also like to learn. I want to add either a 00-15 or 000-15. I saw some set up tool kits and that's my question. Which of the acoustic guitar tool kits do you recommend? TIA
I loved that J45 but it's just too big for the truck (semi). I couldn't get comfortable with it. I originally wanted a 00 but fell in love with the J45. So I took it back to Jimmy at Southpaw and he let me return it and then purchase this LG-2 Rateliff. I love it, bigly
Southpaw in Houston was a blast. I went J-45. I'm not going to go into which guitars I played and which ones I liked and disliked. I don't want to offend anyone, we all have different ears. All I will say is I couldn't be happier with my new strings

The big one in Houston. Not sure if I can say the name of the business. I am in the market for a $1000 - $2000 00/000 sized acoustic. I am hoping I don't fall in love with a 00-18, 000-18, L-00, or 4 series Taylor. I would like to spend under $2000. I made a list from their website that includes about 10 Taylors 2,3, and 4 series, the L-00, 00-18, 000-18, 000-15, and 000 Retro Plus. I only fingerpick. I am intermediate at best. I have never played any of these guitars because, as you know, most shops don't stock nice Lefty's. I like the look and sound (YouTube) of an all Hog so I hope I really like the 000-15. I feel like a common reply to this will be buy the 18 series if you can afford it, as well as Just play all of them and pick the one that suits you. I am very excited to make this trip and this purchase.
