A.D Didn't Scare Me

Watching the show as a teen, and even rewatching, I was always pretty terrified by 'A'- whether in the guise of Mona or Cece. I felt like anything could happen and every shadow terrified me.
With A.D.... I just wasn't scared. I couldn't take her seriously (this was before that weird reveal). It felt like she was a rip-off, poundland version of A.
Is it just me?

Questionable karaoke wedding song choice...

My older sister's wedding's coming up and it reminded me of my own wedding.
It was a fairly low-key event- people could wear what they wanted, including white (in fact the bridal party were all in white), and any level of formality from business casual to white tie, although we did have a nice mansion-type venue and live music. Plus ones were permitted.
Unfortunately, one of the plus ones of my husband's friend was... slightly crazy.
My husband and I went around greeting guests individually, and I noticed she was wearing basically a pure white lace mermaid wedding dress, but I decided not to fight it, since a) she's just a random plus one who nobody cares about it or could mistake for the bride, b) my dress code was very broad and I guess I didn't specifically say no wedding dresses and c) that lace was very cheap and did not look great.
However, her attention was very forcibly thrust upon me later in the evening. We'd decided to have a karaoke towards the end of the evening free for all as a way to keep the vibes high (it was an alcohol-free wedding so we figured we wouldn't have to deal with any drunken new-found professional singers). It started off great, we had some very cute children singing, a sweet (if slightly embarrassing for my husband) duet between my parents in-law and an amazing rendition of Jerusalem by my very patriotic grandmother. This was the moment when the hapless plus one decided it was time to take centre stage to sing Taylor Swift's Speak Now.
For those of you who don't know it, the lyrics go:
It seems that I was uninvited by your lovely bride-to-be

...She floats down the aisle like a pageant queen
But I know you wish it was me
You wish it was me
Don't you?

Don't say yes, run away now
I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door
Don't wait, or say a single vow...

The rest of the song is in roughly the same vein. I was shocked and so (thankfully) was my husband. It was the first time either of us had ever seen her, but it turned out that she had developed something of a crush on my husband from following him on insta. I found this rather disturbing, tbh, but needless to say she did not stay to finish the ceremony, my husband promptly unfriended/blocked her on all socials afterwards and neither or him ever saw her or the friend who had bought her again.

The wedding was the happiest and best day of my life, and I forgot about her until I was reading through some of the stories on this reddit.

Red Dress for elopement.

My sister is getting married via elopement in two days. It was sort of out of the blue, but her fiance, as I suppose he is now, is a very decent sort of person and we always expected them to get married (although, not exactly now).
Anyways, I obviously don't really have time to buy a new dress for the wedding. I'm currently visiting my mother in Cornwall so the dresses I have are really limited. Also, the nearest big city is two hours' away (Newquay) and I also don't know how to drive: I'm a Londoner through and through. The only dress I have which is available really wedding-y is my old concert dress which I've attached an image of above. The only issue is that it's red. I thought it was fine, but my mother (also attending the wedding) thinks it's totally unacceptable. Is it appropriate for a wedding? My only other option would be to wear this white and gold dress from my graduation days. My mother says that white is better than red, but I'm personally inclined to disagree. My sisters says she doesn't mind what I wear so long as it isn't a literal wedding dress, but I can't help but think that the second dress is actually white and fancy enough to be mistaken for a short wedding dress. I don't want to cross my mother, but I also think the red would be better myself.

Edit: I can't go to a shopping centre because the nearest big city is a two hours' drive away, and neither I nor my mother drive (and I'm not sure if they have a place that sells fancy dresses anyways). I'm from London, so I don't really know what to do in this situation- everything's normally in walking distance from me- but I'm visiting my mother, who lives in Cornwall, hence the conundrum. I haven't been to a wedding since I was thirteen so I genuinely thought the first dress was fine, but it seems from the comments that this isn't the case, so I may go on Amazon and hope for the best.

Alternative Aria Romance

Aria x Wes isn't unpopular exactly, but it work so well.
I feel like it could be a good moment for Aria to realise that she wasn't actually in love with Ezra, so much as an ideal of Ezra as the perfect romantic, sweet, artistic love interest who loves her unconditionally that she craved (almost like great gatsby with daisy, since she's so into American Lit), and that person was actually Wesley.
Also, it would still play into the whole forbidden love thing they were trying to do, and- if she ended up realising that Ezra was grooming her- and had him arrested/ at least fired, it would have sent the right message to the audience about such relationships (even more so than if the relationship hadn't existed in the first place).
Wes would obviously have a moment where he realises what sort of a person his brother is and 'chooses' Aria.
Also, imagine all the drama this would create with the Fitzgerald family.
And, assuming the whole book thing is still canon, it would give Ezra the perfect motive to be A: he's been thwarted in one way of getting hold of secrets, this is the next best way.

Fill this thread with A messages

Not real messages from the show, but the sorts of messages you would have A send if you were one of the writers. Visuals and objects acceptable too of course. The more chilling, funny or apt the better.

Hyperrealistic Masks

Are those hyper-realistic masks Rollins uses actually feasible? I've seen this in so many films at this point, and what with AI and everything, maybe it's possible now.

A theory

What if...

Ali was threatened by Mona as O.G. A. Mona actually killed her and the A-game stopped. But then... Ali had already built a weird dead-hand system with her as A, to get the girls to try and figure out her murderer. Part of the system might be to have her encourage original A (Mona) and big A (Cece) to play into A stuff (Ali could figure out A was Mona before she died, and she might have worked out Cece's past and her mental issues whilst hanging out with her before her disappearance- no Cece is Charles storyline though).
We could have twincer with the Ali coming back from the dead being her twin (maybe she knew about what Ali had done as queen bee and wanted to repair the damage).
Uber A would be Ali herself, rather than A.D, and she'd be obsessed with who killed Ali rather than who killed Charlotte. The girls would be confused, until 'Ali' would be forced to reveal herself as Courtney after being threatened (ties into books). Then, the girls would figure out Ali's killer- I think a giant plot twist would be if it was Emily- and then, voila. The A threats would stop, it would be the end but changed forever.

Issues with Spoby

I was big on Spoby in season one on my first watch, but I really felt like they did a major downward spiral from there. Toby had some serious anger issues in my opinion after the early days (think him punching Caleb over Yvonne, fighting randos, yelling at Spencer) and the A thing was unforgivable. It wasn't just joining the A team- he tried to kill Spencer in the shower (also that excuse that he was doing it for her was nonsense because in what way does that work?) And I don't remember him being particularly concerned about Spencer's mental state after she was driven into Radley- he basically abandoned her during her lowpoints- the downward mental spiral and the drugs. I don't remember him ever being particularly effective in even trying to help the girls either. As for the time jump scene, when waiting for the pregnancy test, I know that is a tough and emotionally charged situation but I found his behaviour towards Spencer totally unacceptable and stupid- asking why she was acting like it would ruin her life when it probably would ruin what she had thought her life would be like.
Obviously, there were other majorly problematic relationships like Ezria. But (unpopular opinion) I did actually like Ezria post-season seven, when Ezra did everything to protect Aria and support her no matter what she had done. I really enjoyed their relationship when they were both adults and felt like it really cemented everything that was wrong with them when Aria was still practically a child, and I really wish that Aria and Ezra only met in season seven.
My absolute favourite relationship, Haleb (I like to pretend Ravenswood never happened) was, I think so good because Caleb always tried to protect Hanna from A and did almost as much as the girls to figure out who it was, and supported Hanna and always trusted her (think after the Zack episode). Toby, meanwhile, always felt like an obvious, never-present gap, who was always the first to doubt Spencer and critique her, when he knew that her whole family and friend circle were always highly critical of her. I also think that it's very telling that Spoby never really spent much time together outside of the mystery either compared to other groups, and Toby was never really somebody who Spencer could relax around or who could offer her comfort.
The only time he was around, it was to punch somebody or to yell at Spencer.
Spencer deserved better!
Just my opinion ofc, feel free to disagree.

Season 7 Ezria

I personally have always been a little uncomfortable with Ezria. I always found it weird how they got together so quickly, which somewhat undermined the true love trumps all message for me, and the book plot-line made me question everything about their relationship. But, I love season seven Ezria- and wish Aria could have met him then, and not when he was her teacher and she was almost a child. When he helps her with Rollins' body was iconic and one of my favourite Ezria moments in the whole show, and I feel like it really shone a light on how he loved her unconditionally.

Not a big fan of Spoby

This got taken off the main reddit for 'trauma comparison'.
I was big on Spoby in season one on my first watch, but I really felt like they did a major downward spiral from there. Toby had some serious anger issues in my opinion after the early days (think him punching Caleb over Yvonne, fighting randos, yelling at Spencer) and the A thing was unforgivable. He was never there for Spencer in her low points imo- when Caleb tried to protect Hanna from A and did almost as much as the girls to figure out who it was, and Ezra listened to and comforted Aria whenever she told him about the big moments in her life and always supported and protected her in her decisions, Toby felt like a big obvious gap.
The only time he was around, it was to punch somebody or to yell at Spencer.
Spencer deserved better!
Just my opinion ofc, feel free to disagree.

My favourite Spencer occasion outfits rated

I tried to include all of like the fancy-dress outfits, but also special episode outfits. These are obviously just my opinions. I would love to know what you guys think.
Homecoming dress:

https://preview.redd.it/wpkxo8oe2zdh1.png?width=427&format=png&auto=webp&s=84033242e2dae3798851ead7dc47647623a03f73

8/10- Simple but elegant dress. I love the necklace and the hair.
Father-daughter dance:

https://preview.redd.it/kzv9ut1p2zdh1.png?width=507&format=png&auto=webp&s=dc13043780f63dc7bf0f47100c7a239232723f78

8.5/10- She looks gorgeous here. One of my personal faves.
Dance-A-Thon:

https://preview.redd.it/vbdw9fdx3zdh1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=91d569490f472fce3213080486d1a55c0211dece

4/10- What is that orangey satin? The silhouette makes it look like it isn't even a dance dress. And the necklace is awful. At least her hair looks fine.
Masquerade Ball:

https://preview.redd.it/hng3hq064zdh1.png?width=236&format=png&auto=webp&s=a349770018fd9d8b4adbb9719b8a795c23ed2163

https://preview.redd.it/fae3zzbd4zdh1.png?width=343&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e31ce4622554db5c12acab7835bc42786b91a1e

7.5/10- That mask is gorgeous. The dress is a bit basic in style, but I like the silhouette. The colour ruined it for me, though.

Season 1 Halloween Flash-back:

https://preview.redd.it/4voq9j2p4zdh1.png?width=535&format=png&auto=webp&s=44493926c6d3508283159f74f6a4755d12fe6022

7.5/10- I love the fact Spencer was the only person wearing an actually interesting outfit to Noel Kahn's party, which instantly earned her points. The cheap satin, the ill-fitting bodice and that awful shade of red hair deducted points for me though.
Hoedown outfit:

https://preview.redd.it/zbsj5vk15zdh1.png?width=189&format=png&auto=webp&s=9a3a1e9ab8d3a9f38fb830cda67b6ebecf574304

7/10- She looks cute, but nothing memorable.

Halloween Train outfit:

https://preview.redd.it/272epou85zdh1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=ba0a6445c4568ff621586e5ea657640ad52122be

https://preview.redd.it/aod4jiv95zdh1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=280a7caec47f45a6183b9349f83327767e90ce39

9/10- This fit ATE. Spencer's make-up is amazing, and works super well with her fascinator. The only thing I'm not big on are the gloves: I think short mesh ones would work better.

Ravenswood Fit:

https://preview.redd.it/4jr8oy1ff1eh1.png?width=363&format=png&auto=webp&s=0ae0a92c008ff30e268edd80b180c02a543dac06

9.5/10- Spencer's outfit here gets a lot of hate here for no reason. I get the other one's look cute but her outfit is the most historically accurate (okay it's very much a day-wear look rather than an evening one, but I like to think that's a deliberate choice. I love the colour and the fur details. It would be even better with some kind of brooch on the blouse. It's a bit less obvious on this photo, but the sleeves are a bit mutton-legged, which is a bit more 1890s, whilst the fit of the skirt and the whole skirt suit and blouse (not to mention hat) thing is very Edwardian. Also, I think that hat's pretty cute.
Prom dress:

https://preview.redd.it/854uf9xh91eh1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=d56ece6111dd640bdfc4dc82e6af85216c9addbc

8.5/10- Nobody rocks a high-neck like Spencer. Simple, elegant and beautiful (especially compared to some of the other prom-looks). My only gripe is that it's a bit simple for prom (idk if it actually is, I'm not from America and I never had a prom, but from the big deal its made out to be on the silver screen I would say so).

Ice Ball:

https://preview.redd.it/01qlw66pa1eh1.png?width=474&format=png&auto=webp&s=09b5213bd5520b81bea6af25a14aedd0d2a7c73d

9/10: I am obsessed with the flowy drape of this, especially the bodice which is giving Atonement vibes, and the silver colour and beautiful embroidery. I will say I don't love the lip she's got on here; I feel like it's more Emily than Spencer.

Wedding Dress:

https://preview.redd.it/61wqbyhgb1eh1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=8001a8c3e45d3e7032c39d54882e62fb2e5fd588

10/10- This dress, and the scene that ensues, lives rent-free in my mind. The corset is doing all the heavy-lifting (both plot and aesthetic-wise- the finger-bones were unhinged in the most pll way), but I like the veil and the drape of the skirt.
Dollhouse Prom:

https://preview.redd.it/0gnwvvhyb1eh1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=948ca6d4b5fc30edf88a71fa34366bc9ed683d5a

7.5/10- Spencer must have been Cece's least favourite liar, because all of the other prom looks ate so hard and then we got this. It's not atrocious- I kind of like the one shoulder thing, and the skirt had potential if the over-layer didn't split at the back. The print is so not Spencer, though- or frankly, anybody.
Fashion Show Pirate Fit:

https://preview.redd.it/hzhuvw77c1eh1.png?width=260&format=png&auto=webp&s=454ba76489cc5d0b8dd6e0f03e5c49ce8e901959

10/10- I am so obsessed with this fit. The skirt, the corset, the boots- and the hair and makeup. Oh my gosh, the hair and makeup. You can't really see them in this picture, but gosh it was actually stunning. The play of textures here is really good too.
Fashion Show Ali's Dress:

https://preview.redd.it/7j9idgpmc1eh1.png?width=173&format=png&auto=webp&s=14305ba31c189b6533b980b2fda761f6e27e3612

6/10- I always felt a bit of ick at the girl's wearing Ali's dress, and whilst the other girls did at least look pretty, Spencer's dress did not justify itself. I hate everything about the neckline and the ruffles on the skirt make it look so bottom-heavy. Not only is it ugly, but its unmemorable. I added a point for hair and makeup.
Silk Film Noir Dress:

https://preview.redd.it/q53olugwc1eh1.png?width=666&format=png&auto=webp&s=2750f9216976abba0345dba3b23b0471d5fbeb0b

10/10- Obsessed with this dress. It's technically more 1930s, whilst google tells me film noir only became a thing post '40s, but I love it enough to forgive it. The drape is just exquisite here, the shape is beautiful and the lace details are what kills me.
Spencer's Film Noir Skirt Suit:

https://preview.redd.it/wruvn4f7d1eh1.png?width=479&format=png&auto=webp&s=db028c5841fcd0d1f039cf347761aed193bfe6db

8/10- Not the best photo, but it's cute. Also, from what I can remember, her hair ate here (again bad photo).
Shadow Play Dress:

https://preview.redd.it/0j6vixfbd1eh1.png?width=666&format=png&auto=webp&s=884b49648ff97c9ea42c8ce61320f9dbf25db7fa

7/10- Don't love that giant beaded thing on her skirt. Otherwise, a nice silhouette. Great hair, again.

Help me type myself (I'm so lost): possible ENFP, ENFJ?

I could also be something totally different lol. I am very new to MBTI. I've done the sixteen personalities test quite a few times and it's been pretty consistent in giving me ENFJ, but I know it's not very accurate, so I recently did a Caloz one and I got ENFP.
In terms of functions:
Disclaimer: my understanding of any of the functions below could well be completely misguided, so please do correct me.
Perceiving Functions
I could be Ne: I tend to get carried away with an idea and use it as a starting point for other ideas, and my thoughts tend to spiral a lot, for better or for worse. I'm also more interested in potential than realisation: I often brainstorm useless ideas in my spare time.
But I also could be Ni: I'm not totally disorganised, and I do tend to be pretty disciplined and I rarely miss deadlines. I also like to look to find overarching themes and to make connections and find patterns. However, I'm inclined to say I'm Ne because from a specific point, my ideas tend to spiral into what could be beyond that point, rather than looking at the deeper within that point? If that makes any sense at all.
The sensing functions are definitely my less immediately obvious functions. I don't think I'm overly in-tune with my senses. I'm honestly not sure whether I'm an Se or Si, but I want to say Si because I enjoy certain elements of routine (e.g. eating the same foods and wearing the same clothes).
Judging Functions:
I think I could be Ti: I care a lot about the why and finding a deeper meaning. I'm less convinced as to a concept's validity by empirical judgements than I am by theoretical ones, and I enjoy discussing ideas with people and comparing theories and ideas, even if they disagree with me (although if I feel like they're getting annoyed then this changes completely, see below). Example: I was arguing with my dad over the classic 'if the sun rises everyday, is it definitely going to rise tomorrow question' and I felt that although it's highly likely to rise tomorrow, you can't definitely say that it's true fundamentally purely based on a previous data-set, because whilst the probability of the sun rising tomorrow approaches 100 per cent but it isn't at a hundred percent (which is definitely a lot more articulately than I put it to him and he completely disagreed with me). The point is that I'm fairly certain I'm not Te.
I could also be Fe: I am a bit of people-pleaser and I want to build concord between people. I think the group project scenario is often used- I'm the sort of person that has a billion different ideas and feels passionately about them, but if other people don't agree after I try to persuade them, I tend to drop the idea in favour of the general consensus. I tend to make judgements on the best course of action to take ethically in terms of its consequences (semi-Utilitarian?), which vary from situation to situation. I'm fairly certain I'm not Fi.
In terms of how I would order these functions personally, I would say Si definitely comes last and Ne is definitely first. I'm sort of stuck on which way round Fe and Ti go, but at a push I'd say Ne, Fe, Ti, Si. I don't think this is a personality type though.
Any help would be much appreciated.
