Bladder and erection problems

Hello,

I am 20 years old, male. I had MOGAD in 2024 during a very stressful period of my life (I've noticed a pattern here). It started with not being able to pee and eventually, after I got sent home multiple times, because they thought I was faking it, I was taken into the ICU. Things got worse, bcs they didn't know what it was. Long story short I was in a coma for 5 days, had a catheter in for over 1 month and after waking from the coma I was paralyzed. Had a device helping me breathe and a tube feeding me, etc. Total time was 2 months before I got out.

My question is about the bladder and erections specifically, because everything else has recovered (except feeling warmth in my legs).

1ST PROBLEM: It's always either incontinence or retention.

My kegel therapists have all told me to do kegels. Here's the problem, when I do kegels I don't wet the bed anymore, but I can't urinate properly without massaging (something contracts as soon as a bit of urine starts coming out. The sphincter?). When I start practising urinating standing up, I stop the kegels and within a couple of days I'm able to do that again. BUT I start wetting the bed again and I have incontinence again. It's been this cycle for the past 2 years and no one has been able to tell me what to do. They told me it would recover fast, because from their scans, all the nerves had recovered.

2ND PROBLEM: Erection only in butterfly pose.

Now, erections. I am able to get an erection almost ONLY in the butterfly pose, where I lay on my back and my legs are stretching. That's the only time I can feel any pleasure there. I also sometimes get it when laying on my stomach. Actually almost every time. I've read from different subreddits that it could be weak glutes and core, so I've started training them. I've also read that it could be some tight muscles blocking some nerves, that are responsible for erections. The butterfly position is the only position I can ejaculate in.

Now, I lost muscle everywhere (even in my hands, sides of legs, etc.). So it could be that some muscles are super weak and it puts pressure on the pelvic floor.

If anyone has an ideas of what muscles to train, breathing exercises, stretches, etc. Then please let me know!!!

Face always bloated

Hello,

I've been dedicated to the primal diet for about 10-11 months now. I started for health reasons as I almost died from an autoimmune disease and the diet helped me a lot. It also fixed my dry skin, improved allergies, skin, bones developed a bit, etc.

But the last health symptom remaining is water retention in the face. It doesn't fluctuate at all. It's just stuck there. When I push into my cheek for 10s it leaves a dent and slowly comes back, so I know it's water. Also when I tilt my head side to side I feel it moving.

The only thing that has worked ever was cutting out all carbs. But I want to get to the root cause of this, not just a temporary fix, because I know people can be debloated even when eating carbs.

I have watched Dr. Eric Berg and Thomas de Lauer recently. They both say it's from carbs and sugar. They say it raises insulin, which causes the retention of sodium and depletion of potassium. Idk exactly how it works, but from my experience it does work to cut out carbs and sugar. Or at least limit.

Now on the primal diet you are obviously gonna have more carbs than a keto diet would allow. Carbs from raw milk, unheated honey, vegetable juice, 1 fruit per day.

I've read it can also be lymphatic congestion. I've been doing the 90 min baths for 3 months now after gaining about 13kg of fat. But there's no difference in the face. I'm trying to get my neck in the water too.

It would be amazing if someone could help me out. Been struggling for a while and just very confused from all the advice out there.

Thanks!

Better erections in butterfly position

I am a 20 year old male and I had an autoimmune disease 2 years ago, that caused some nerve damage.

When I lay on my back and have my legs in a butterfly position, I'm able to get erections. And to ejaculate I move my pelvis up and down, then I get a different kind of stretch and it makes me get closer to ejaculation.

In other positions I rarely get erections.

Are there any muscles I need to strengthen or stretch to fix this? And if so, then how do I know which ones.

I accidentally caused my urinary retention (20m)

So I had an autoimmune disease (MOGAD) back in 2024. It started with being not able to pee and then got worse. I was in a coma and had a catheter in for over a month. When I got out I had urinary incontinence, so every time I got an urge to pee I would run around the house and try to keep it in for as long as I could. I found that the urges went away when I started running.

And it actually worked! But now I had a new problem, which was that every time I went to urinate, the sphincter would contract just like I had trained it. And now I've been struggling with retention.

Now, I can reverse this by going to pee every time I get the urge. When I try to pee, a little bit comes out. If I just let that out and do it every time I get the urge, then quickly I'm able to start urinating properly again.

But then I get the incontinence back and stop being able to hold it in. It's either incontinence or retention and idk what to do.

Can I somehow find a balance and train my body to know when to do what it's supposed to?

ED and bladder problems after paralysis and nerve damage

Hello,

I had an autoimmune disease back in 2024 and I was in a coma for 5 days. When I came out of it I was fully paralyzed and thankfully I recovered quickly. The only thing that didn't recover is my pelvic floor.

The neurologist told me that I have no more nerve damage. They didn't give me any exercises besides kegels. Whenever I do kegels I can't seem to activate the IC muscle and I only feel the BS muscle if I understand this correctly. Now the important part is when I do kegels, I'm not able to urinate as well anymore and I have to do massages. If I don't train it I start wetting the bed again, but I can urinate better. And I have morning wood, but I don't get erections by thinking abt smth. I have to touch it for smth to work at all. And most of the times it's weak, unless I squeeze my legs together.

Can someone tell me what to research or if anyone has any advice I would be very thankful. So far I've found the Angion method, but idk if it would help in this situation. I don't even fully know what it is tbh.
