If death threats against a sitting President isn't against Reddit's TOS, it should at least be against the rules of a paleoart subreddit.

What books, movies, or shows would you want to see adapted into a Crusader Kings 2 mod?

I'm honestly surprised there's no CK2 mods for Conan the Barbarian, Elric of Melnibone, Wheel of Time, Dragonriders of Pern, Sword of Shannara, or Discworld, given how popular and influential they are in the fantasy genre.

I'm also surprised there's no straight-up King Arthur mod for CK2; Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain would probably be the best source material for an Arthurian mod, given its detailed history and genealogy.

S.M. Stirling's Emberverse books are fairly niche (but then again, "post-apocalyptic neo-medieval fantasy" is already a niche genre), but have a really CK2-ish flavor to them.

While Priory of the Orange Tree is technically set in a world that is more EU4 than CK2, I figured it'd work better as a CK2 mod (especially since EU4 doesn't really have Enatic Succession like CK2 does).

Tortall Universe, Xanth, Myth Adventures, and the works of Sarah J. Maas were thrown in as "why not?" ideas.

As for the "not-so-honorable mention", I was seriously debating whether or not to include it (because of the "the author's un-disguised fetish, the author's politics, the author's masculine power fantasy" worldbuilding), but I figured some CK2 players would want to play such a mod anyway (if only to indulge in ShitCrusaderKingsSay type activities), so I included it as a "not-so-honorable mention". If nobody likes this idea, I can replace it with A Practical Guide To Evil in an updated version of this meme.

The first year after the impact might have been the easy bit.

Last year, I saw Amazing Dinoworld 2 on CuriosityStream, and one of the episodes discussed how long the non-Avian Dinosaurs could have survived after the impact, up to and including showing a scene of a Hadrosaur as the only large animal in a Danian-age jungle.

Ever since then I've been fascinated with the idea of a relatively "milder" Chicxulub impact that, rather than creating a single year(s)-long impact winter that caused the Dinosaurs to starve to death by killing all the plant life ("the plants all died, then the herbivores all died, then the carnivores all died"), would have instead left enough survivors for the non-avian Dinosaurs (and Pterosaurs, Mosasaurs, Plesiosaurs, Ammonites, etc.) to become a Dead Clade Walking for up to a million years post-impact; the apex predators and the largest/rarest herbivores would have suffered so many casualties in the initial event that they'd suffer a severe genetic bottleneck and basically inbreed themselves to death (not unlike what happened to the Wrangel Island Mammoths millions of years later), while smaller animals would be gradually replaced by mammals, sharks, and other 'modern' animals working their way up the food chain and/or gradually die off during the long-term climate instability resulting from the impact.

Man Carrying Thing shows why we sail (and/or why we still hoard DVDs and Blu-Rays).

A lot of the arguments for sailing and arguments for getting it on DVD/ Blu-Ray overlap.

And sometimes trying to do the latter results in having to do the former, when the only DVDs/ Blu-Rays available are for a different Region.

Looking for certain Aegon's Conquest events:

I'd like to ask for the Event and/or Decision IDs for certain events and decisions regarding Aegon's Conquest, such as:

-Unscripted events that allow the automatic annexation of Count and Duke level Lords, like, say, the Lords of Crackclaw Point (since typing "event mega_wars.12 [Lord's character ID]" apparently only works if the Lord is a Lord Paramount of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros).

-If manually triggering Event diplomatic.29 could be used to force vassalization and/or automatically annex (eg. if typing "event diplomatic.29 [Insert Lord's character ID here]" would automatically make them my vassal if I hold a title higher than theirs).

-The event that causes the Lords of the Riverlands to rise up against Harren (assuming this is a scripted event and not a Mega-Wars thing caused by Harren holding an Emperor-tier title).

-The event or decision that allows Aegon to burn Harrenhal with Balerion (during my first playthrough, I moved an army led by Aegon onto Harrenhal, but for some reason I didn't get a scripted event allowing me to destroy it with Balerion, so I had to besiege the county and take it holding by holding. Maybe I accidentally left Balerion behind at Dragonstone, because I don't know how to attach a Dragon to a character or an army?).

-Whether Event aegons_landing.13 would allow Orys Baratheon to take over the Stormlands by the player (as Aegon) killing Argillac via console command and then manually firing the event immediately after.

-The event ID of the Field of Fire, and whether or not the scripted event kills off House Gardener and allows Aegon to annex the Reach and the Westerlands.

-If there are any scripted events for Torrhen Stark and/or Ronnel Arryn bending the knee to House Targaryen, other than potentially using Event diplomatic.29 (or if Dorne could be made to bend the knee by using this command on a later start date).

"Don't go, you'll miss all the fun."

(BTW, yes, I got the image on the right from THAT scene, because THAT scene is exactly what I'd expect a Werewolf Alpha to do in that situation.)

Is there any way to get an updated version of the April Fools map, combining Westeros and the vanilla map as of Holy Fury?
