Looking for some advice on newly planted Mesquite tree that got damaged.

We had a new Mesquite tree planted in early May by a landscaping company. We had some recent storms here in Phoenix and it broke the original support stake that was holding the tree up. I bought another stake to tried to wrap it but the tree branch may have been to destroyed already and fell down again.

I contacted the company but they don’t warranty weather damage and he said maybe try a splint and tape it up. Any recommendations? Should I try a splint and re-tape it? Do I cut off the branches because these are too far gone? What type of splint do I look for at Lowe’s or Ace? Any help would be appreciated because I don’t want to lose the tree but since it’s new, I don’t want to keep growing if it’s too damaged. I’m lost when it comes to trees in general.

Question: When the truck is set in the open-air configuration, do you think you can move the seat back anymore or tilt it back? Or is it set all the way back permanently as if it was in the basic truck configuration? Hope that makes sense.

I’m 6’6 so just wondering if I would get anymore space if it was in the open-air configuration.

Reading my book last night and came across this. Removed names for spoiler purposes just in case.

The book is called The Order by Jeremy Robinson.
