I just started Girls and I'm now at the end of the second season. I personally feel very connected to Hannah and I feel like we are the same person.

But everyone online always says that they feel like Marnie or shoshana, and it's like a bad thing to relate to Hannah. Why is that?

My history with the word femcel started with my best friends sister having her Instagram being "femcel" and her having a sub stack about being a femcel.

I was 12 around the time so I didn't know what it meant. My best friends sister had lots of casual sex, multiple times a week through dating apps, with men and women throughout the years. I never understood why she kept branding herself as a femcel even tho she was not celibate.

Now after like ten years she explained that she's still a femcel even tho she has sex bc she doesn't find any fulfillment in it. She hasn't been in a committed happy relationship and the sex she has doesn't emotionally fulfill her.

My question is, can one be a femcel even if they have unfulfilling casual sex? Does the emotional part matter?

I feel like I am in a very odd lesbian situation. I became obsessed w this masc lesbian in my college class last spring semester so I asked her out. We started talking over summer but since we were in different states, we could only text. She said she wanted to wait to be girlfriends bc she wanted "be a whore over summer and kiss random ppl" WHICH IS RED FLAG NUMBER ONE. I then found out she was having sex with a guy from tinder behind my back while we were sexting all summer. So I ended things (which was also rlly weird bc she says she's bi, but looks like a man, and I was the first girl she's ever talked to bc "girls are scary")

I moved into my new apartment for college though this August and I was wallowing in my loneliness so I unblocked her and invited her over. That week we then decided to become official girlfriends BUT she was still fucking the tinder guy. So she told me she would end things with him. A week later I ask her about it and she said she broke things with him...by saying she was trans. And I was like WHAT. She then proceeds to say "he says he wants me to be a girl when I bring up me maybe transitioning so I told him I was trans so he would leave me". I was literally so flabbergasted bc SHES NOT EVEN TRANS. she lied to him and said she was trans INSTEAD of just saying she has a gf now (WHICH IS ME). I ofc got mad at her but I still stayed with her.

I then broke up with her a month later bc there were A LOT of problems. We ended up reconnecting in February and she said she was still seeing that guy. We then also ended up being friends with benefits for a while and just having casual sex bc she didn't want to commit to me again bc she says she's a whore and likes having sex w men too much.

This is where I'm so confused. She has a nonbinary flag in her room so I asked her what her pronouns are and she said "I'm a girl". But then she will randomly bring up how she wants to transition but then deny it. And I once called her a masc lesbian BC SHE CLEARLY LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE A BOY and she said "no I'm just a girl with short hair".

My theory is that she's in love with her trans best friend who recently had top surgery, so now shes now thinking of transitioning. And I asked her if that was the reason why she thinks she's nonbinary and she said "probably"

I also believe she is straight bc I am the only girl she's ever liked or been with but LOVES men. And I call her transphobic bc u can't just lie and say ur trans to end things with a tinder guy bc then it's discounting actual trans people and their experiences.

I just have never heard anyone else go thru this before.

With Anthrocon being here in Pittsburgh, I'm wondering if there is any sort of clubs or furry community at Pitt? I'm going to be a senior but I've never seen or heard of other ppl at Pitt being furries.
