[SOLVED, it was the disabled connectivity services causing the issue]

I have this weird issue where the battery seems to drain more when Wi-Fi is off (from 90% to 60% in about 9 hours of idle, 44% to 40& in about 30 minutes). Accubattery reports about 4-9 w of drain rate with Wi-FI off while about 1 w when Wi-FI is on.

I do run apps in the background like Wireguard Tunnels (both for personal and work folder), Shizuku, Accubattery, and S Battery Tweaks. However battery still drains heavily regardless if they're on or not. Most routines have been turned off and still draining. Doesn't seem to be linked to offline finding and location as well since turning it off still causes the big drain.

Model: Samsung S26 Ultra

Version: One UI 8.5 (Security patch level as of July 5, 2026)

P.S: Seems to be linked to some of the services I have freezed/disabled. Particularly, heres the apps I disabled that caused the big drain. Enabling these no longer causes the drain.

P.S-2: After further testing, there's no longer severe battery drain when I reenabled said connectivity services. On scenarios with or without 5g mobile data (both without wifi), Accu reports 0.5-1 w.

I guess don't blindly disable apps without knowing what they do or this happens.

Whenever I switch apps from a full-screen app to another app, takes a bit of a while to do so. Not the end of the world but it is annoying. Anything I can do to resolve this?

Basically, whenever I click a Reddit or Wiki link on DuckDuckGo (and other search engines), they always load in mobile site despite "Always request desktop site" turned on (as indicated by Reddit and Wiki looking a bit more zoomed in).

Opening link manually to another tab does use the desktop mode. However, when I set DuckDuckGo to open the link on another tab for me, it loads in mobile site as well.

(While I could just always open links to another tab, it's just inconvenient on mobile if I have to do it for every website)

I have tried switching to Waterfox to modify the about:config. However, changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 2 (since 1 zooms out the site too much) does nothing. I did try this on Firefox Beta before but did not work as well

Is there anything else I have yet to try? Thank you!

P.S: Also happens on Reddit itself. Whenever I click an image of a mutli-image post, it puts me in the thread but in mobile site form.
