Anyone adopted a baby of Arab origin or knew a kid of Arab origin being adopted ?

Really odd question but I’m still really curious . I’m an American Arab (not looking to adopt lmao ) but I’ve never heard much of Arab adoption or foster care . I know Arab counties prohibit it for religious reasons , I know Steve Jobs was an Arab man who was also adopted but that’s pretty much it . I think there’s more situations out there where kids/babies of Arab origins where adopted or where raised by a non biological family (I know adoption is a informal way to put it as in Arab culture bc adoption is viewed as taking away a child’s last name and identity and replaces it with the non biological families one , so that’s why I used the phrase “being raised by a non biological family )
Anyways if anyone has a perspective, I’m all ears

Is there anyone who’s half Libyan and half Lebanese?

Really stupid question I know but I’m just curious. I’m also Arab (Arab Libyan to be exact ) and have always wondered if there is anyone who’s half Lebanese and Libyan . The only Libyan Lebanese person I’ve seen was someone of 3 different Arab origins that was half Lebanese and a quarter Libyan . Most Libyans I know just get with other Libyans or with other North Africans or Europeans , not much of other Arab identity (can’t read Arabic so I’m using that flair )

How do get sociology “experience “ outside of school

Hey I’m a sophomore in high school and I don’t know what major I want to do in college but I’m very interested in sociology and enjoy it . I will like to say , I WONT BE CONTACTING ANY PROF OR ANYONE IN ACADEMIA, I’m not gonna bother them for obvious reasons , I’m sure they won’t enjoy a teenager bothering them . My school doesn’t have a sociology club unfortunately. Part of the reason why I’m looking into outside school stuff for sociology is because I want to get in a good college and I want them to see some of my independent stuff ig . I can’t to dual enrollment yet unfortunately so that’s out the window :( if there’s anything sociology related for Hs students (or literally anything ) plz tell me ! (If there’s not please be respectful)

I don’t have empathy for regretful parents

As the title suggests I do not have empathy for regretful parents . I hear ppl say how they were lied to by society to have kids and a family , relative expectations, etc etc . But the thing is , society also tells ppl how much it sucks raising kids . All the ppl telling you how much it’s hell , media making jokes about how annoying and draining kids are etc . It’s really funny that these ppl don’t wanna follow other social norms that ppl do but all of a sudden they wanna follow the “starting a family “ bs social norm . These people where not young either when they had children , most of them where 30+ . You’re telling me at 30+ you didn’t know that making a life changing decision with not take backs has consequences. Well guess what , once you hit a certain age anything you do has consequences to it and has a negative/positive impact on ppl !!! They also talk shit about their own kids to , not them just complaining about something like we all do , them genuinely talking shit about their own children as if they’re some sort of Lucifer . Mind you most of these kids are young asf to . I think kids know when their parents regret them , even parents who say that they love their kids but wouldn’t be a parent again if they could go back . I feel so bad for the kids to because others around them can tell . Kids are smart , i think they know that what their parents are saying is a performance or them just acting/coping . I saw kids of regretful parents to and I could tell . The kids were really well behaved and it’s almost like they acted in ways for ppls comfort . Not necessarily people pleasing but I could tell that they were masking in a way for ppls comfort :( . Then they wonder why the teen suicide rate is through the roof , ITS BECAUSE THESE KIDS KNOW THEIR PARENTS SEE THEM AS BURDENS . Not to mention all the other terrible things theses kids must’ve been going through , imagine knowing the same people who are supposed to keep you safe and be there for you always regret having when you never ask to be here . “Oh I miss my freedom “ “I miss traveling “ “I miss time with my spouse “ “kids ruined the relationship with my spouse “ WHOS FAULT IS THAT ???? Not the kids fault , ✨your fault ✨ . These kids mental health , even when they become adults will be bad because they know that their parents just see them as a chore or a responsibility instead of a wanting to be a parent in your kids lives without making it like something you “just have to do “ . They don’t even go out their way to hang out or be with their kids , like at all . Bringing humans into this world then regretting having them and blaming “society and societal norms “ for your dumb decision you made as an adult that has consequences to it , is no one’s fault but yours .

My explaining/clarifying skills are bad so I’m sorry you guys didn’t understand what I meant , but yea thx

Did you guys have a student that made you positively cry or a student that you still think about ?

It could be a student that you found out something bad happened to them or is growing up in a bad environment but still was good a student that you cried for .

A student that did something really good to you that had a more positive impact on you than you thought .

A student doing something good not knowing the good they’ve done etc

I’ve seen students who grew up in a bad environment or something bad happened to them but still showed up and treated others nicely .sometimes the opposite to , but they always did something good at the end .

Have you ever met a student that was always good but had a bad home life or a student you had a soft spot for ?

This could be a student that you felt bad for because you found out they grew up in a bad environment or a student you saw yourself in that made you become more positive about something .
