Ironically, it's not often said that this is the best tournament arc in all of Dragon Ball.

It literally has everything: - A thematic core based on the rivalry and ideologies of the Crane and Turtle schools - Brutal fights with brilliant choreography and purpose - Tien as an antagonist is incredibly effective - Master Roshi finally retiring from being Juckie Chun after finding Tien - Every single fight, even the smallest ones, serves to demonstrate something - The theme of the next generations is fantastic-

What character, mechanic, or rarity would you like to see for the third part?

In my opinion, I’d like it to be a different kind of character; there are already so many Saiyans, so someone like Bojack or Cooler would be great.

What would have happened to Dragon Ball if it hadn't returned in 2013?

I’ve always wondered what would have become of Dragon Ball if Toriyama hadn't agreed to work on *Battle of Gods* back then. Would Toei have just kept churning out random animated movies, or perhaps produced a series at most? Or what direction might the franchise have taken if they had continued making series throughout the 2000s and 2010s? I’d love to hear your theories.

Rewriting the ultra instinct

Okay, there's a reality: Ultra Instinct went from being practically something else entirely to being presented as a technique, but each time it happens, it feels more like a transformation. To reframe it, I'll use the Kaioken system. (Gaining one thing and sacrificing another.) We remember that with Kaioken, Goku managed to increase his stats as a consequence of the strain it put on his body. With Ultra Instinct, what I came up with is using that same methodology. It would be a technique that requires a calm heart and mind, sacrificing the use of conventional ki in order to gain a significant improvement in your melee attacks.

What consequences would this bring? That Goku wouldn't be able to launch ki attacks, and instead, his attacks would consist of punches, kicks, and martial arts techniques. This occurred to me as a way to try to return to those old stages where not everything was about ki blasts. Perhaps the inability to fly is also a consequence, and this could bring interesting things like seeing Goku fighting with the Power Pole again. Which makes sense. If we look at Whis, we can see how he uses his Power Pole to fight sometimes, and generally fights with melee attacks and with precision.

Regarding the design, considering it's only one form, I personally would prefer his "pre-Ultra Instinct" version. It might not be the best idea, but it could have been interesting.

How would you rewrite Super 17 (GT)?

Okay, let's start from the premise that the creation of Android 17 Hell Fighter doesn't make sense, not because Dr. Myuu and Gero couldn't create an android that strong, but because of the conditions they were in and the materials they used. Even so, I'm not going to just hate for the sake of it; the character had some interesting concepts. His design, his abilities, and that part of Super 17 not wanting to kill Android 18 because of the affection he had for her seem interesting to me, and to a certain extent, they give the machine some humanity, even though there wasn't much development. What changes would you have made to the character? I mean, what things would you change, add, modify, or even who would you have him fight if it weren't Goku? Personally, a fight against Super Saiyan 4 Gohan would have been great, or if Piccolo hadn't died and somehow had a power boost against him, that would have been brutal.

What are your DBGT headcanons?

While GT isn't a very beloved series, I'd like to know what headcanons you all have, since the series is ambiguous in many ways, but it's fun to think about what might have happened. One thing I like to think is that Goku would visit his friends every so often, something like he did at the end of GT.

▲ 19 r/Shrek
