Light 20” BMX for cruising

I’m a 49 y/o 5’6” tall. looking for a lightweight bmx I can use just to cruise on. I have a 26” SE OM Flyer. I’ve had several hernia surgeries, so I’m looking for something at 23 lbs max.

I plan to mod the bike’s stem and handlebars for the cruising aspect.

has anyone done this before. Any recommendations?

Has anyone tried the V8?

Available on Amazon US. I can’t find many reviews on it. it’s one speed, so that makes me hesitant without knowing more.

- how many calories does it burn per hr

- how comfortable is the seat and seat back?

-do the wheels have locks?

Anyone ever see a Zizzo Liberty with a brown steam?

I can get this for $275 used. not sure about that brown stem though. seller said it was brownish. all the other pics I see they’re black.

Bond allocation Q

I’m thinking of using TDF instead of rebalancing 6 funds (3 IRA, 3 401K). so, I’m picking 2 TDFs with 10% Bonds.

My questions are:

  1. if I want 20% bonds, can I just add 10% of the total portfolio value as BND in the IRA?
  2. If I want 15% bond allocation, would that act as a good middle ground between volatile 10% and less volitions 20%. Or should I just opt for 20% if I feel 10% is too rich for my blood?

Target Date Funds:

Vanguard IRAs:

– 100%ish in VFIFX*

Vanguard Target Retirement 2050 Fund (exp. ratio 0.08%)

* – $97K in BND (to have 20% Bonds)

Fidelity 401K:

– 100% in Target Date 2045 FHAQX (exp. ratio 0.18%)
