Anyone else thrown into a different culture/language at a formative age and feel socially stunted as a result?

This was my experience, I moved to a country where I didn’t speak the language when I was a pre-teen and consequently had to take a step back in communicating, socialising, making friends easily etc. We stayed in this country for a long time and it took me about a decade to figure out who I was socially, and what my personality was since I wasn’t exploring those things in my native language. Many many years later I still feel like I’m living the result of this (some social anxiety, masking, not socialising as naturally as others seem to)

There must be other people out there who have had similar experiences. Or major life changes during those formative years. I’ve made a lot of progress but still feel like something was lost that I haven’t ever gotten back. How have you overcome this? Have you made peace?

MSPI + ??

I need some advice.. my first born was MSPI, and it seems that now my second child is too. She was very unsettled from birth (EBF), mucous green stool. I cut out dairy and soy and she is leas fussy (but still seems a bit uncomfortable), and back to having only green mucousy poops. she never has “normal“ stool. no visible blood or other symptoms other than maybe being a bit uncomfortable sometimes). what food is the most next likely thing to try cutting out? eggs? I haven’t noticed any pattern in my diet because ALL of her poops have been mucousy. she swallows a lot of air when she breastfeeds so that is a factor too…

I have spoken to the pediatrician and lactation consultant about these things. Neither have been very helpful so far (I have another appointment coming up soon), but thought I’d try this group too

Christian music from around the world

What is some of your favourite Christian music in traditional/folk genres from around the world (or even jazz, blues, r&b)? I’m looking for anything other than the typical western English speaking worship music- afrobeat, reggae, celtic, flamenco, Latin, etc!
