is it ok to use the original foot pedal to save some money, i did rewire it with new wires for safety. works fine....

and does anyone know how the tension is adjusted, it came with a broken spring, and since it needs to come apart to change that, any adjustment was lost. mostly i mean the preload, the shaft can be adjusted.
