I am usually really active on this subreddit, but I am taking a break recently(due to problems and stuff). And then, my insta feed is full of wattpad banned smut and all that. So I was like fr? Cause smut romance is wattpad main way to get to popularity.

Read the new guidlines, nothing new. Check reddit, thousands and thousands of same posts. Check the pinned post, confirmed my doubts. Its just purely smut removed, like as before

And of course the subreddit is full of same posts again and again. Reminds me of the time, when wattpad gone down lol and the subreddit blow up.

So, welp just gonna continue my break but I mean wattpad moderation sucks, I have read stuff over there, that shouldn't be even allowed. But, out of nowhere accounts get banned, so yea anything can happen lol.

But still, those who are actually writing good stuff, with a well defined plot, this is the time to shine! So best of luck to everyone.

I am taking a break from posting chapters till September. So 15 chapters is what I took to complete my first arc.

This is my book cover, which I commissioned, and the genres are: YA, philosophical, sports, antisociality, thought-provoking etc.

I think my writing is good but again I would like some feedback from you all. Just a quick warning my character is a flawed character, his beliefs are meant to be wrong

Repeatedly been said but be aware guys. Always keep a backup.

Your work can be gone away from an platform, even Wattpad has said It multiple times. The outrage that happened probably didn't do much damage, for anyone still not seeing their works or seeing lag, wait for the syncing to happen.

But keep it stored in the Google docs, hell even notepad is the safest option.

Also never uninstall the app, if you use only the app. Always login in the Wattpad browser since uninstalling the app can remove the local data and cache, and a chance to lose your work.

Wattpad browser is much better, with lack of sudden ads so it's a better choice for those interested.

Always be prepared! And I hope everyone's Wattpad is back fine.

Edit: Wattpad Server is Back Online. But if a major outrage ever occurs again follow the rules down below. Check your drafts if they are alright or not.

Edit 2:Hey everyone, if your reading lists have vanished or your profile isn't loading properly while other accounts seem perfectly fine, please do not panic! Your data is completely safe.

The servers are back online but are recovering in waves across different regions. Because millions of users are trying to log back in at once, it has created a massive digital traffic jam. The system is prioritizing basic features and lighter accounts first. If your profile has a lot of stories, drafts, or reading lists, it requires a heavier database search and will take a bit longer to sync and display properly.

What NOT to do:

Do not try to recreate your lists. Making new ones with the same names now can cause major sync errors once the servers fully catch up.

Do not repeatedly refresh the app. Spamming the page just adds strain to the recovering servers and delays your account from syncing.

What to do:

Just give it time- Your books, drafts, and lists are securely stored in the cloud and will reappear automatically as the server traffic slows down.

Try a manual sync later-Once the platform seems fully stable, you can try logging out, closing the app completely, and logging back in to force your profile to refresh.

The platform is currently experiencing a major server-side outage, and it is affecting almost everyone. If you are experiencing random logouts, "domain error" screens, missing stories, or chapters that refuse to load, you are not alone.

This is an internal database and server communication issue on Wattpad's end, so there is nothing wrong with your device or your individual account.

Because the servers are highly unstable, please protect your work and your account by following these steps immediately:

* **Do not uninstall and reinstall the Wattpad app.** Many people do this as a first troubleshooting step, but doing so right now will wipe your app's local cache. If you have any offline drafts or unsaved progress stored locally on your device, uninstalling will delete them permanently.

* **Do not write or edit your stories directly inside the Wattpad editor.** The auto-save function relies on a stable connection to their servers. If you write inside the app or website right now, the system will fail to sync, and you will lose your progress when you close the tab or if the page refreshes. Always use an external program like Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or your phone's native notes app to write, and only paste it over once the servers are completely stable.

* **Do not clear your app data or cache in your phone settings.** This has the same effect as uninstalling the app and will wipe cached drafts that haven't synced to the cloud.

* **If you have been logged out, do not repeatedly try to force a login.** The authentication servers are failing to process requests. Spamming the login button can sometimes trigger automated security blocks, which might lock you out of your account for much longer even after the servers are fixed.

* **If you are a reader, try to avoid refreshing your library or deleting books.** The database is struggling to retrieve lists, and refreshing might make your library temporarily appear empty, which can be alarming but is just a display glitch.

Don't panic tho!

Major platforms like Wattpad experience outages like this fairly regularly. Their engineering and IT teams are almost certainly already working on a fix, as keeping the site online is their top priority.

Here is why you can stay calm:

Your drafts are safe: Even if you can't see your stories right now, they are stored on secure cloud databases. The current glitch is just a "bridge" issue—the app cannot communicate with the database. Once that bridge is repaired, your stories and profile will load exactly as they were.

* **This is temporary:** Outages like this typically get resolved within a few hours.

* **It's not just you:** Because this is affecting a massive portion of the user base, Wattpad is under heavy pressure to deploy a hotfix as quickly as possible.

First of all. Hi! It's been a while since I made a post.

So, many of you might know me cause I been active on subreddit for like a couple of months now and recently become the admin of the r/Wattpad discord server, the one affiliated with this subreddit.

Its going through massive changes from an almost dead server to not-so dead server. Yeah, I mean it's kinda hard to get people excited over an writing server. It's not as old and big as Dreamland after all.

But it's growing! And it would grow more!!

So what's our plan next?

-Improving the server. It's still in his basic state and it needs a lot of improvement. Would love some help if needed.

Admin of r/Wattpad discord server

Hello! I am the admin of the r/Wattpad discord server. I have decided to start the first major event of our server!

I would be choosing a book that for five days would be part of a brillant event known as R4R-Spotlight where a book would be chosen for people to read!

For writers, it's a great way to get engagement! Readers also are not forced to read all chapters of the book if they don't like it! If you like the author's work you could ask to do a R4R with them, personally!
