Being a woman, it's hard for me to be invested in a drama where I can't root for the FL.
Her being unnecessarily rude and spoiled from the beginning or even having premarital relations didn't make her irredeemable to me. That just makes her unlikable & flawed and I can take that.
What I can't work with is a complete lack of self respect. Zaryab was dumped, shamed and insulted by a man who chose someone else. And she still wants him back? That's not complexity but a dumb spineless character. We already know she'll be calling him on her wedding day, ready to drop Abu Bakr at a moment's notice. Ofc Abu Bakr is the perfect man, the savior in this situation which I hate that the Bakar and Zaryab love story is coming as a way to fix her or heal her? Why couldn't she heal herself first before the love story to start?
This reminds me of Imama who couldn't get over from Jalal even after her marriage to Salaar.
She's really the trailblazer. In an industry where pregnancies aren't really flaunted and mostly hidden, for her to openly announce it at the age of 41 and then also openly discuss the difficulties and struggles of this experience is truly pathbreaking.

The way Rabiya is so unfazed at first when he comes coz she thinks it's another imagination of hers and then when slowly the realization sets in and the softness and smile she gets? SAJAL NAILED IT. I keep repeating this scene.
It lowkey annoys me that Sajal's breakdown scenes get viral all the time when scenes like this should get equal appreciation coz the range of emotions she shows and the micro-expressions just hooks you!

After Sarbuland's shayari and proposal scenes in Zanjeerain today, I can say that Danyal is among the best in the industry in terms of the Urdu diction. He's so good. The way he pronounced even the most difficult syllables perfectly is really commendable.
Imagine wasting water to generate AI images of you from 80s when your prime was in that era. He could've gotten these pics by googling himself even 😭
The angst that yesterday's epi served was so satisfactory for an angst lover like me. This scene particularly was my absolute favorite! A resolute Rabiya, a helpless Sarbuland, an inside joke and the realization it leads to. I can't believe we're only getting 1.5 episodes of angst and yearner Sarbuland.
Also I wanted to point out Danyal was so good yesterday and particularly in this scene - the way he showed the transition of the emotions he went through was beautiful. I wanted to hug Sarbuland throughout the episode.
Danyal isnt the best out there and he can be inconsistent but he's been really good in these kinda scenes and I just don't get why some people behave like he's the worst out there. And atp it just feels like forced hate coz if these were neutrals only who were criticizing his acting, then they would also acknowledge the scenes he did well in.
They not only decide to pick the superior take for the episode but also edited out his dialogue where he clearly takes accountability of his brother's actions - "Yeh jo bhi kiya hain, mere bhai ne kiya hain."
Why are editors so keen on self sabotage?
Seeing her haters use her story as an excuse to only call out her fd but totally ignoring the fact that her haters absolutely stoop to the lowest level to attack her? It exposes the hypocrisy of the people here.
Sajal knows very well her fans only respond in kind but she can't control what other fds start so she only addressed this story to her fans.
