Low AMH + Endometriosis: Surgery or Try First?

Hi ladies, I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar. 🙏🏻
My AMH is 0.8 and AFC is 13. I have superficial endometriosis outside the ovaries with significant pain, but thankfully no endometriomas and my ovaries are clear. The ultrasound also showed no obvious adhesions or deep endometriosis. I also have signs of adenomyosis.
My doctor suggested laparoscopic surgery to remove the endometriosis lesions and assured me that he will not touch my ovaries. He may also need to take a biopsy.
Because of my low AMH, I’m torn between having the surgery first or trying to conceive before surgery, as I’m worried about losing time or potentially affecting my fertility.
Has anyone here had low AMH + endometriosis outside the ovaries? Did your fertility specialist recommend surgery first or trying to conceive first? And what was your experience with fertility/AMH after surgery?

Experiences with medications that helped with pelvic exams/vaginismus (especially when necessary)?

Hii
I sometimes struggle with severe, involuntary pelvic muscle spasms (vaginismus) that make medical pelvic exams extremely painful or nearly impossible—especially when an exam is necessary and cannot be delayed, and topical numbing agents haven't provided enough relief.

Has anyone tried specific medications or muscle relaxants (such as oral Mydocalm, Valium, or others prescribed by a doctor) that genuinely helped relax the muscles enough to make an essential exam possible or reduce severe spasms?

Please share your experiences and what worked for you. Thank you."

Success story needed — AMH 0.7, age 30, 1 egg retrieved

Hi everyone. I’m 30 years old with low ovarian reserve (AMH 0.7, low AFC). Currently doing IVF with Clomid 150mg only, no injections.

This is my second retrieval cycle. My first cycle ended with embryos that grew to Day 5 but arrested — poor quality, no transfer.

This cycle looked more promising on monitoring — 4-5 follicles visible on ultrasound at good size. But at retrieval, only 1 egg was collected. It has been fertilized and we are now waiting to see if it develops.

I’m trying to stay hopeful but it’s really hard. I would love to hear from anyone who:

•	Had a similar situation (low AMH around 0.7, age around 30)
•	Got only 1 or 2 eggs retrieved
•	And ended up with a success story 💙

Please share your experience. I really need hope right now.

IVF failure, hormonal toll, and lack of partner support

During my first IVF cycle, only two eggs were retrieved. I was terrified, and the hormonal shifts made my anxiety so much worse. Unfortunately, in the end, the embryos didn't make it and stopped developing on day 5.
Back then, right after the retrieval, I made dinner for my husband and gently asked him for reassurance: 'Will you be with me no matter what happens, even if we have to try again?' He got very angry, said 'Am I not with you now?' and treated me like I was being ungrateful just for asking.
Now, after the cycle failed, I feel completely lonely, scared, and broken by his reaction when all I needed was comfort. Has anyone been through something similar with their partner? With these intense hormones and heartbreak, how can I find the inner strength to stay strong on my own?

Low AMH (0.7) & AFC (4-5) | Clomid only protocol feedback & Day 5 Early Blastocysts

Hi everyone,
I am looking for advice based on your experiences with poor ovarian response and low reserve. IVF is very expensive, and I want to make sure my next protocol is as optimized as possible.
My Case Details:
Age: 30 years old.
AMH: 0.7 ng/mL.
Baseline AFC: 4–5 follicles.
Current Protocol: I was stimulated using Clomid 150 mg only.
Results: Only 2 mature eggs were retrieved, and both fertilized.
Embryo Status: They reached the early blastocyst stage on day 5 but slowed down. We are currently waiting for the lab's final decision on days 6 and 7.
My Questions:
1 For those with a similar AMH (0.7) and AFC (4–5), did you use a stimulation protocol other than Clomid alone (like a short protocol with high doses or a Flare protocol) that resulted in a higher number of mature eggs? Do you think Clomid 150 mg alone was too weak for my case?
2 Has anyone had embryos that started as early blastocysts on day 5, continued developing to day 6 or 7, and were successfully frozen and resulted in a healthy pregnancy?
Thank you for your insights.
