what WAS this?

basically my question is not what is this item, it’s what WAS the item used to do this….idk if it’s allowed but i can’t find any community that’s on topic.

* EXPLANATION *

so i got home late lastnight around 1am, throughout the night i heard loud bangs like almost shuddering my flat. i didn’t think anything of it as in my estate there’s always weird noises at night etc.

the loud bangs weren’t all at once almost staggered through the evening. my dog, who is very reactive always barking if he sees someone walking past, wouldn’t leave my side and slept with me all night. (which he never does) he didn’t bark at all… just glued to my side all night.

i woke up to take him out this morning and found this (see picture attached) it’s like someone had hit my wall lastnight (the bangs)
but why did my dog bark? why couldn’t i hear anyone outside? what has it been hit with?

i said axe but a few people have said a clever etc i’m not sure at all i’m 22f and i’m terrified

My boyfriend [23M] doesn’t want me [22F] to go to free parties

we’re from the uk i don’t know if free parties happen anywhere else. basically there’s a party line that drops an address (could be a field, woods etc) and then everyone gathers there for a rave/festival party thing. they normally get shut down or the entrance will be blocked off by police so they only last a couple days if lucky. i’ve gone to free parties since i was 18, it’s a nice community from what i’ve experienced. i don’t do hallucinogenic drugs (which is the crowd favourite at a free party) i go for the music and my friends and i like the vibe.

but this isn’t even about free parties that just the example i gave my boyfriend. me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and very much in love. he hasn’t experienced much regarding raves etc which is fine we can like different stuff but when i brought up that the party line will be back this summer and i might wanna go he basically said “if you go you won’t here from me all day” this response shocked me and i thought it was weird (we’re not like that. we have a healthy adult relationship, different from our past ones) i asked why etc and he basically said his reasoning was bcos you never know who’s there and people may be weird there.

i basically said you don’t know what it’s like you’ve never been and if he wanted to experience it for himself to see what he’s talking about he could come with me. i basically said if the only reason is the fact weird people may be there then that’s not valid enough for me. i’m a grown woman i can/have look after myself.

he then said if he didn’t want me to go would i. i said if there was a good reason then i’d consider but ultimately i’d do whatever i can do reassure and make him comfortable whilst i go.

i’m not 40 i need to do young people things

is it weird?
