Normal countries - a one man mission
I feel like I'm uniquely placed to finish this new tedious feature.
I'm a travel journalist and am willing to chase some commissions in the not normal countries, just to end this nonsense.
Burundi is difficult but not impossible, I'll email people today and find out how soon I can get out there for a story.

Centre of the universe: cavolo nero
Listened to today's cavolo nero chat while walking around Aldi looking for that very leafy vegetable. Couldn't find it, had to go to Sainsbury's. Ordinarily I'd have given up and settled with kale but this spurred me on to get the right ingredient. In it for life.

reddit.comOn a recent trip abroad, this cropped up on the menu when I was ordering room service. Almost ruined the night for me, as I couldn't stop thinking of Merse saying it. What would it mean in football terms?
Thank god the mayor of New York finally told us what he thinks about something that happened only the day before. We were all desperate to find out.
Delighted to see Harry Souttar provide us all another chance to use 'absolute chimneys' - I really like it and hope it catches on.
Jonathan Tah's penalty was absolute chimneys
Is Max a big liar?
Max has been trying really hard to persuade us all he's currently working in LA, but is this true, or has he concocted an elaborate lie so he can ditch Jamie and the kids to go on tour with Irish folk/punk outfit Dropkick Murphys? Surely they can't have their own generic man on the drums?
