I have a few group of friends but as people start to have kids/get busy it’d be nice to meet some like minded people ☺️ happy to meet with people late 20s to early-mid 30s. I live about 20 mins south from the CBD - I like psychology, music, dancing (do a weekly hip hop class), good food, podcasts and reading. Looking for someone I can hang out with every few weeks and go out for drinks /a walk/ go to a gallery or explore a new part of Sydney. I’m pretty outgoing/chatty and can hold a conversation well. Only girls please I have a man 🙏 Feel free to comment here or message me!
I’m 31F fyi in a relationship of 4 years defacto.
Pretty self explanatory, I can understand how children would benefit from having married parents, but really what is the point of marriage otherwise? I understand love but marriage does seem to be more of a social construct than anything else and when it doesn’t work out (50% chance) things go bad fast. Maybe I’m just jaded - in theory it is a lovely idea to commit to one person forever but with the 50% divorce rate I don’t want to take the risk. I don’t really want to mix finances and would be asking for a prenup. My friends say I sound like a man who’s scared of commitment 🤣🤣
Why is everything online like courses etc pricing end in 7?! Are people more likely to buy if something ends in 7 than 4, 5, or 8? 🤔
This is wild but for the last three months I’ve had my hair washed at the hairdresser and haven’t washed it at home. I’m very depressed and I find it therapeutic and the massage is so relaxing lol. It’s Winter and I hate getting my hair wet, shampooing it etc, then getting out and it’s freezing. But I’ve started to realise this isn’t normal and it’s adding up $$$. My friend was like it’s not normal to get your hair washed and dried unless you’re getting it cut 😭😭😭 Literally how do I motivate myself to wash my own hair I hate doing it it’s such a chore. Any tips would be appreciated ☺️
I’m a psychologist in NSW. I see a lot of children involved in legal proceedings. I need to change my consent forms to state I don’t consent to being recorded but I’m just wondering is it legal for parents to record me in session with their children (eg putting a device in their hoodie if we’re in person or living a device on a table if it’s via Telehealth)? And can these recordings be used in court as evidence? Thank you.
Can’t believe I’m asking this but just feel like I’m losing my mind and need an opinion, particularly interested in men’s opinion for this one ☺️ cross posted in r/relationshipproblems but I want more male perspectives!
Tonight my boyfriend was talking about a girl we know who recently became single and said ‘do you think the relationship ended because she got fat?’
I was absolutely horrified and said that I have no idea why the relationship ended and that I find what he said to be quite rude and misogynistic.
He doesn’t find this to be rude or misogynistic. He said that a lot of the reason relationships don’t work out if the man ends the relationship is because the woman’s looks change or they ‘get fat’. He said that’s the truth and even began looking at peer review articles that discuss reasons why relationships end and to be fair one of them was losing physical attraction but still am I wrong or is this a fucked up thing to say? He seems to think that just because it’s apparently true(???) it’s okay to say. I said there’s plenty of reasons relationships end - communication issues, infidelity, etc. He said women prefer taller guys and he doesn’t have an issue with it, so weight is the same thing and just a preference and everyone’s preferences no matter what they are should be respected.
I can’t believe I had to debate with him that you just simply do not say these things I don’t care if it’s true or not. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Is it okay for him to say this or am I being unreasonable? Would you leave a LT relationship if someone became much heavier?
I’ll also add in the past he has also told me if I put on a lot of weight outside pregnancy he would reconsider the relationship as men are ‘visual creatures’ and appearance matters to them when staying in a relationship.
Edit - we are both 31 if that matters ☺️

I found him on Facebook a while ago, his whole Facebook is completely public and he posts like an influencer (at least once a week - hilarious for a 60 year old man 😭) The thing is, I do enjoy seeing his posts in the least stalkerish way possible, and if I reach out I run the risk of him freaking out and privatizing everything.
Is it still worth it to reach out?! I know life is short, and it’s probably worthwhile to at least say hello.
A few years ago I told my donor conceived sister that she was donor conceived - we met on Ancestry. Her parents hadn’t told her, so I was the one to tell her and she has taken the news extremely well considering how life altering it must have been. She has decided not to tell her parents she knows about her conception because she doesn’t want to change the dynamic which I understand but I also feel a bit… something, I don’t know what I feel, maybe resentment? She is very heavily involved in my life, sometimes comes to family gatherings, knows my friends, and my parents helped her with her career. It’s crazy that I will never know or meet her family or truly know her life the way she knows mine. Just wanted to share.
If my partner and I have regular threesomes together with other people, does that fall under the umbrella of nonmonogamy? Sorry if this is a silly question I thought nonmonogamy was having new sexual/romantic relationships independent of your partner but it seems that I may be wrong ☺️
