Is there actual fish in pet store dumpsters?

I always see videos of people going dumpster diving at pet stores and I just don’t know if they are real or if they are staged anymore.

Has anyone actually gone dumpster diving? And if so what have you found.
Do you just ask an employee to check their dumpsters or do you have to ask a manager or something? I’m just really curious and I really wanna do it (if it’s legal and stuff obviously)

Would you find live fish dumpster diving? Would you find tanks or heaters that are missing a piece.

Let me know pleaseeeee.

Saw this cute girl at the pet store…

I don’t know how to describe it- I don’t know what it was, maybe it was the way she looked at me, or her adorable little fins but I saw her today I thought she was the samurai betta but no she was the cheapest one! I already love her and really wanna go back some time and see if she’s still here

Unfortunately my little rescue betta did not make it.. 😢

I was cleaning my sisters room and found a betta living in a horrible bowl (in the picture) it had barely any water in it and the water was like a greenish brown colour and it had the worst smell I have ever smelled. I payed my sister for it and gave her a real home.
I had a little planted 1.5 gallon that had a light and filter (and I added a heater) and it has a Little Rock and drift wood- I was originally gonna use it for shrimps or snails but she was desperate (for some context I’m really not rich so I couldn’t afford a whole new setup for her at the moment) the tank was already cycled and I was gonna go buy something for it within that week or so but she rly needed it.
The first couple of days she wouldn’t eat (I tried pellets, frozen food, and live food) but after the 2nd day of not eating she ate 1 pellet and that’s all it took for me to go into “mom mode” and I did everything I could to try to save her- I did salt baths, I cleaned her tank often since it was only 1.5 gallons and for a while it seemed to go uphill (she got a bit of colour back, she was a bit more active and she stated to remember me and would greet me at the glass 😊)
I don’t rly know what happened but she started to get worse every day- I fasted her and tried a whole bunch of things but I’m pretty sure whatever she had before came back and in the end she passes away.

I’m so happy she got to live out her last month or so having a name (Nebula) a clean tank and lots of love

I’m so sad bc I had some pictures of her and now they are all gone- idk what happened it’s just like they don’t exist anymore
But we have Nebula a nice resting spot in an aloe vera plant and I hope she swims freely in fishy heaven ❤️

The tank is now open for more rescues- I am still working towards getting more tanks (I have contacted a few ppl and I’m waiting for responses but I’ll keep yal updated)

So my sister is looking into getting a couple and she has a 20 gallon tank ready for them. She has sand and a couple river stones on there and she’s waiting for her drift wood to come and then she’s gonna get some plants.
She said it’s cycled which I believe her cuz she does have a bunch of fish but she was wondering some things

Where to fill the water to- she has it like 3/4 way full and she has a lid so they don’t escape

She wants to know if they can go in one for a bit and if so does she put some sort of “land” in her tank

She wants to know what to feed them

And lastly can she hold them? She wants to be able to but she said she will still get some if not (she just doesn’t wanna hurt them etc)

Also send a picture of your tank and frogs! We would love to see them!!
