Not Maimi of course but Tenerife but satisfied by the Mission 1 Pro photography performance.

Initially I have been very happy about the new dive case concept with dedicated lenses because the X5 dive case pro is far from "pro", the image quality is pretty poor and so the stitching. But after a bit of thinking,I got some doubts about the flexibility of this system and now after watching this review

I hold on with the order and wait to see the Osmo 360 II.

On the contrary of what he imply on the video, my understanding is that the Osmo 360 II dive case will not have lenses to be replaced and what he circled in the picture are spare light shields. At least that's what I understand from this tutorial even if it is in Chinese.

And if the Osmo 360 II will not have a good underwater image quality, I think I will give up to 360 cameras for a while and keep going with normal action cams.

Finally Dji has the dive case for the Osmo 360. It seems to not have the dedicated lenses as the X6. Now I will have to decide which one of the two to get. The idea of having dedicated lenses is promising for the image quality but in a way also limiting. I will be waiting to see some underwater clips from both and than decide.

Taken with GoPro Mission 1 Pro and lens Inon GR140 Pro. Processed in Lightroom Classic which now has the M1P camera profile.

Sea horse close-up with Inon G165 II and some cropping in post production (thanks to the 50Mb).

I make a short video to compare the close-up focusing of the Mission 1 Pro without lenses and with Inon GR140 Pro and G165II. I am not into macro so I don't have real macro lenses.

In my opinion, close-up without lenses is a no go. Both the lenses are focusing well in close-up, with the GR140 Pro having a flexibility advantage.

In my opinion, for general scenery and mild close-up shooting, the Mission 1 Pro has no focusing issues underwater, the wide wet lens is almost unnecessary. I have the

GR140Pro, while I am still testing it, I am not seeing great differences.

8k 50fps dive mode, color natural. Zoomed in approx 10% i Quik and no further processing other then making it in 1080p trying to minimising Reddit compressing. In 4k it looks great.

Also pictures from the video looks great.

Curious to see today how the dive image will be after the new update but I doubt I will find another green turtle as model 😀

Beside the fact that is you can pre-order the dive case now, it means the X6 release very close, I am happy the dive case is confirmed.

And the design seems improved a bit from the X6 dive case pro.

So now I am ready to move from the X5 to the X6.

So far Capture One is doing a better job in converting the Mission 1 Pro raw files than Lightroom Classic, less digital artifacts and more details. To be rechecked after Adobe Raw will have the M1P profiled, but I have no idea ho long it will gonna take
