So far, Jio-bp works well with my Kylaq lol.

Filled the tank with Jio-bp fuel. Done 400+ km so far, and it's still showing a range of 390 km. 😄

Even if it finishes around the same, the mileage would be around 17.5 km/l, which is better than I expected from a Skoda running on E20 fuel.

Let's see how the rest of the tank performs. 😄

Note: Most of my driving is a mix of city and highway.

35 LPA fixed in Bangalore (Product Company) vs 26.5 LPA fixed Work From Home. What would you choose?

I'm currently working from home with a fixed CTC of 26.5 LPA.

Recently, I received an offer from a product-based company in Bangalore with 35 LPA fixed. My current employer might match or increase my salary if I put in my resignation, but I already accepted a counteroffer about 1.5 years ago, and I don't want to stay again just because of another hike.

A few things about me:

30 years old

No dependents

I save around ₹20k–30k per month after all my expenses, so my savings aren't huge.

Note: I haven't considered my investments (₹40k per month) in this. I also have EMIs of around ₹1.2 lakh per month, along with car and bike fuel, maintenance, travel, and other regular expenses. (Getting many questions about how I'm saving only ₹20–30k, so I thought I'd add this.)

The new role is in a reputed product-based company with better learning opportunities and career growth.

The new role is in a reputed product-based company with better learning opportunities

My dilemma is whether the 8.5 LPA jump is enough to justify relocating to Bangalore and giving up WFH.

Considering Bangalore's rent, food, commute, and overall cost of living, would you take the product-company offer or stay in the current WFH job if the salary difference remains around this range?

I'd especially like to hear from people who have made a similar switch from WFH to Bangalore.

Late Payment Amazon ICICI Credit Card

I missed the payment for my bill yesterday, which amounted to 4300, on its due date. I am inquiring about the late fee charges. While I acknowledge my oversight, I am seeking clarity on the charges, especially since Google mentions a 3-day grace period, yet banks often have concealed terms and conditions.

Finally Combed My Hair – 6-Month Update

Today marks 6 months since my hair transplant, and for the first time, I used a comb on my hair.

It might sound like a small thing, but it felt surprisingly emotional. Before my hair loss started, combing my hair was just part of my daily routine. As the years went by and I gradually lost more hair, I stopped caring about it altogether because there wasn't much left to style.

Today, running a comb through my hair brought back memories from my school days when having hair was something I never even thought twice about. It's funny how you only realize the value of something once it's gone.

The journey isn't over yet, but I'm genuinely happy with the results so far. Being able to comb my hair again after years is a feeling I didn't expect to appreciate this much.

Now I'm thinking about growing it longer and enjoying the process. Small milestone, but a meaningful one for me.

Dashcam Suggestions

Bought a Kylaq 2 months ago and am now looking to install a dashcam. Should I go for a front-only setup or a front + rear (dual-channel) dashcam? Those who have already installed one, which dashcam would you recommend?

Highway run at 80 km/h

Tested a steady 80 km/h highway cruise last night and this was the best mileage I could squeeze out.

Probably helped by lighter night traffic. AC was set to 24°C on Auto. There was a small city stretch in between, which brought the average speed down to 67 km/h, but for most of the highway run I maintained around 80 km/h.

This was with regular E20 fuel.

Dog Scratches on My 2-Month-Old Car Can These Be Removed Without Repainting?

My 2-month-old car got scratched by stray dogs that jumped/sat on it overnight. There are multiple scratches like the one in the photo.

The scratches don't seem very deep when I wipe them with a wet cloth, they almost disappear, but they become visible again once dry.

Can these be removed with polishing/detailing, or will repainting be necessary?

I'm really worried since the car is almost new.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
