It’s the little things…

Finding a key on a body that leads to a locked door nearby.

Discovering a locked chest (in a sunken ship) that you need to pick the lock of while underwater.

Digging up buried treasure.

Identifying your first item after a brutal battle with an Ogre that sent you flying with every powerful strike.

Fearing the night.

Discovering your first Mine that turns out to be much more dangerous than it appears.

Finding gear that looks so damn good you never want to replace it.

Walking into a new location that feels like a fantasy movie setting with some of the best art direction you’ve ever seen in a video game.

The musical score.

These are just a few of my favourite things about this game. Little details that good games have. It shows how much love and attention to detail went into it.

Stunning Art Style.

Wow!

Escaping from prison spoilers below.

>!I’m still in the opening and just met the long departed/cursed King. The art style and music is fantastic! Vocalist sounds like Eddie Vedder! Haha.!<

Seriously, the tone and feel this game gives off is incredible. It oozes a disturbing medieval fantasy world mixed with Giger’s influence in the best possible ways.

Kudos to the team!

OUTER WILDS Safe Space - NO MAJOR SPOILERS

No spoilers beyond what you may see in a trailer. The game is about exploration in outer space, discovery, and problem solving.

I just started playing and wanted to say how much I love this game. I knew about it for ages, but there was something about it that didn’t interest me. Possibly the graphics/NPC design. I tend to gravitate towards realistic looking games.

I was so wrong!

The controls are excellent but complicated at times, especially when flying, but that gives strength to its realism. Don’t get me started on the Zero-G experience. Wow. Stunning experience.

The exploration is unmatched in its ability to fascinate, and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

If you want to discuss your love for the game in a safe space, feel free to share here, just keep it spoiler free. 🙏

What am I missing out on?

I’m sure there are games out there that I’m missing. Games that don’t get rave reviews but are niche games; hidden gems.

Let me know what I’m missing. I’ve played a ton of games but I’m sure I’m missing some good ones. I love all types - games like Stoneshard, No Man’s Sky, Everwind, The Long Dark, No Rest for the Wicked, etc.

Thanks! Appreciate the help.

Please add ATMOSFAR! They’ve requested to be on GFN.

It’s coming out on May 20th, and I know they’ve requested to be on GeForce Now. 🙏

I believe it would run great on NVIDIA as it’s optimized very well. Please let me know if you plan on adding it. Thanks!

New Steam Controller has arrived!

I can’t wait to set this up with my docked Steam Deck instead of using my PS5 controller all the time.

The early adopters who are going to buy the Steam Machine are still going to buy it.

Seriously, reply to this post with the price and end the suffering. Thanks. 😁
