Thrash playlist of the day

you can’t really go wrong with anything here but if you’re into the heaviest of the thrash I’d recommend the Gammacide - Victims of Science & Sodom - Tapping The Vein.

Xentrix - Shattered Existence is more melodic but one of my favorites.

I just really like a nice stack of thrash.

spending the morning with some death metal

I recently moved into a house with a lot more space so I’ve been unpacking my collection and while streaming is much much more convenient I can’t deny how much I enjoy the look, the process of putting on an album. I’m just grateful I never felt the urge to sell off my physical media.

Dismember - Massive Killing Capacity. Not as raw or brutal as their previous work, but a lot of this is catchy as hell.

Immolation - Dawn of Possession. Before they really settled into their sound, but still a favorite of mine. Into Everlasting Fire turned out to be the perfect track for this band to start with.

Edge of Sanity - The Spectral Sorrows. A pretty raw sounding album production wise but probably the album I listen to most from this band. Check out the track The Masque if you’ve never heard this one.

Aborted - Engineering the Dead. I don’t see this one mentioned much when I see people discussing this band, but it’s just as good as anything they’ve released. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite since I really dig Retrogore but still a quality listen.

Brutality - When The Sky Turns Black. I’m actually not really as familiar with this one so looking forward to diving in.

Malevolent Creation - Retribution. Just go check out the track Eve of the Apocalypse for one of the most ferocious yet catchy death metal songs imaginable. The vocals are some of my favorite in the genre on this one. Pretty much every track is great though.

Thanks for reading or not. If nothing else I hope posts like these inspire someone to buy an album they’ve been wanting.
