Could use a little help.

Still working on this folding antenna, however the focal depth does seem like it's a bit deep.

diameter is 1214mm

Depth is 609mm

When I do the math, it's only coming out to 165mm

Can anyone confirm my math is correct?

Settled on a final design, now the printing begins.

I've settled on a final design, Now the printing begins. For all those that ask, I do plan to bend the 1/2inch PVC pipes into the parabolic shape, and in deployed form I will use just a wire latch on the bottom to keep the ribs from moving. Idea for it is general usage L-band, however the receiving element can be changed and adjusted for most needs. I'm wondering if it should be called the spider of lily dish?

Design Update

I've decided to actually go to using PVC pipe for the Ribs at this point, It's become a trade off for wanting a larger dish. So now we're looking at just over 5ft 3/8ths (160cm) in dish diameter. Should work for the great white north? I may need to redesign a rotator for this next. I have one that's inspired form the SATNOGS project.

For context

Just an Update

I'm still in the design phase for now until I settle on something concrete. I did tweak it so that the receiving horn can be changed and the dish focus adjusted for different receiving elements.

Cheated on after 5 years together

So I broke up with an ex last week, come to find out she had to be cheating on me since January, Because I found her wedding registry today, and marriage license from May. Not sure how to deal with this just yet. Things stopped adding up some time last year, and to find this out now. I’m so full of mixed emotions right now. I bent over backwards and lost myself to make sure she was cared for only to find this out today. Not sure what to do or how to process this just yet.

I was gaslit

was in a relationship for the last 5 years, she broke it off last week, and now I come to find out she married the guy she was cheating on me back in February. Figured out she’d been cheating on me for almost what I think was 2years, although it could have been longer, and I had no clue. Any time we were supposed to see each other in the last couple months, something always came up. Truthfully….I can’t figure out what hurts more, the fact she was cheating or the fact that she gaslit me the whole time. This is the second time in my life this has happened to me.

What to do when life just fell apart?

What’s one to do when your life has been falling apart for the last two years and the one thing you feared most just happened? I’m just so ready to keep living but to walk away from everything I’ve known and loved? Because at this point I really feel like I’ve nothing left. All that I had loved and been close to has abandoned me, or absolutely betrayed me.

Would anyone really notice if I walked away?

I’m starting to wonder if any one would notice if I were to just pick up and walk away? Ever since becoming disabled, I’ve noticed people have just stopped checking in with me, any help or friends I had have dried up and disappeared. Is it really worth holding on to things any more? I’ve really felt like I’ve lost everything or am in the process of it. Not feeling suicidal, but just wanting to maybe leave and see where life takes me at this point.
