Metrobank Titanium NAFFL Promo

I applied for a SCC last friday June 26, 2026 I choose the Titanium Card because of the promo. Now I want to ask if my application is already under the the NAFFL promo because I submitted before the deadline. Or I need to be approved first before the deadline of June 30 2026 for my card to be part of the promo. I haven’t received any update sms or emails and I can still see my deposited amount on my metrobank app. Thank you

Metrobank SSC as reference card

I have a 6 months old Metrobank SCC with 25,000 CL. Is it possible to apply to other banks using my SCC as a reference card not having to provide proof of income? Anyone here been in the same situation as me? Thank you!

Need advice regarding an old Metrobank account and applying for a Secured Credit Card (SCC).

I have an old Metrobank savings account that I opened at a Cavite branch. A few months ago, I withdrew all the funds and transferred my savings to another bank. Since then, the account has accumulated around ₱900 in service charges for falling below the required maintaining balance.

I’m now interested in opening a Metrobank Secured Credit Card, but I currently live in Pasay. Do I need to settle the ₱900 first, or is it possible to open a new Metrobank account in a Pasay branch and proceed with the SCC application there?

I’ve read online that because the old account is under a different branch, opening a new account might be an option and could potentially avoid paying the charges. However, I’d like to know if that’s actually true and whether it could cause issues later on.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Metrobank? Were you required to settle the charges first, or were you able to open a new account without any problems?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

BPI SCC as a 20-Year-Old Student

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here successfully applied for a BPI Secured Credit Card (SCC) while being under 21 years old?

I recently visited a BPI branch near me, and the staff informed me that applicants must be at least 21 years old to qualify. However, I’ve come across a few Reddit posts from people who were reportedly approved for a BPI SCC at age 20.

I also read about BPI’s Express Start Program, which seems to be related to secured credit cards, so I’m a bit confused about the actual age requirement.

If anyone has firsthand experience or is knowledgeable about BPI’s SCC policies for students or applicants under 21, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.

Thank you in advance!

Credit Card Recommendations (Cashback, NAFFL)

I’m looking for credit card recommendations for my mom. She currently has an existing credit card from Metrobank with a 6-digit credit limit and a good payment history.

We’re looking for a card with:

* Strong cashback benefits (top priority)

* Good rewards program

* No annual fee, preferably for life

* User-friendly mobile app

* Card lock/unlock feature for security

* Good customer service

Her spending is mainly on groceries, dining, shopping, bills, and household expenses.

For those with experience, which cards would you recommend and why? How is the app experience, cashback/rewards earning, and ease of getting annual fees waived (if not NAFFL)?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Maribank CC and Spay Later

Question sa mga na approved sa Maribank CC that skipped the submit payslip/COE, ilan yung CL na binigay sa inyo? and ilan CL niyo sa Spaylater?

I would assume na dun ang reference ni Maribank for transactions record since hindi nag submit supporting documents.

Thanks.

BPI SCC vs UnionBank SCC: Better Path to an Unsecured Card?

I’m a 20-year-old student with no job and I’m planning to get my first secured credit card. My main goal is to build credit and eventually get an unsecured credit card, preferably without having to submit proof of income if possible. I have 20k to deposit.

For those who have experience with BPI SCC or UnionBank SCC:
-Which bank has a better track record of upgrading or approving SCC holders for unsecured cards after about a year of responsible use?
-Has anyone been approved without submitting proof of income?
-Which bank is more helpful for building a credit profile that other banks recognize?
-As a bonus, which one has better rewards, promos, or overall card benefits while I’m building my credit?

I’m mainly focused on the easiest path to an unsecured card, but rewards and perks would definitely be a nice bonus.

Thanks.
