Neo flex dead after a year

Just sharing my experience on the Neo Flex. I paid $100 for it.

My neo flex is falling apart after a year and a half of not quite daily use, 1-2 shots. It was rinsed after every use. Saved money over the coffee shops for sure…. pulled wonderful shots but am pretty disappointed with the longevity. Pinholes developed in the plunger top that shoot water into the ceiling, pin won’t stay in the handle, plastic broke off of the seal edges. Had the arm for the gauge blow off 6 months in- fully cracked the plastic under pressure to complete failure. Flair replaced it, and I’m very grateful for that. It’s pretty much dead. I pulled maybe ~500 shots before it went to pieces.

Are the next level Flair machines that much better or should I be considering another manufacturer? Id rather the next one be a buy-it-for-life machine and I’m willing to spend a little money here. Thanks :)

‘07 spec.B guts into ‘08 LGT automatic

08 automatic has a dead 255, pulled and on the stand. Found a driving ‘07 spec.B 6 spd that was in a minor rollover, for just north of $5k. 40k on car since rollover. Solid mechanically, doesn’t leak water. Roof and two doors was all that was significantly damaged. This is Alaska so a rare finely to have a running and driving donor of the sort.

Should I go for this or am I asking for a giant headache? Mechanically very capable, done swaps on other platforms, never this one. Anyone done it?

What’s with the Schecter hate?

I live under rocks and glaciers. Out of all loops. Recently got a Hellraiser with Sustainiac handed to me at a “local” to me shop when the tech heard me playing Megadeth on a tele. I loved the Schecter. Good looking and played amazing. Sustainiac seemed cool. Is there any quality issues? What’s the beef? Thanks for filling in an old dude that lives at the end of the road

EDIT- Thank ya! I’ll buy it!

I can’t even buy more storage

I can’t fucking delete anything, Microsoft is jamming messages through an apple phone about an outlook account. It literally will not allow me to buy more storage, there is some error taking place that they won’t give any indication of what error.

I go in to one drive and delete 6GB of stuff and it DOESNT LEAVE.

FUCK YOU THIEF PIECE OF SHIT OPERATING SYSTEM.

Best finish for marine plywood Vberth?

I have too many choices. This is prepped and ready to go. Wondering what’s best for the sleeping platform itself? Spar? Polyurethane? Tung oil? Linseed? I can’t make up my mind would love some input!

Thermal break for aluminum top house?

I recently acquired a 1977 custom built Bertram up here in Alaska. The hull is fiberglass and the entire deck and top house are aluminum.

She sweats!! I will likely be finishing it out in some kind of 1/8-1/4” HDPE or perhaps an FRP/Acrovyn type panel (I am open to suggestion here).

What kind of thermal break should I be considering for between aluminum and wall panel? It is insulated with 1-1/2” of high density spray foam between the aluminum box channels that make up the structure.

Is this a foam tape on the box channel kind of job? Thin panel of foam board across the entirety of it?

Anyone have trouble starting vevor heaters?

Last one- shut off wouldn’t come back on. Has fuel, but startup failure.

New one- hooked to same system, fired right up and ran for a month. Shut it off one time and now same thing- fail. Repeated fail. Plenty of fuel. Plenty of smoke.

Are these things junk? I see everyone having great luck but so far the startups seem awful. I don’t want to buy one every time I shut it off
