Birthday Gift for Nanny?

Our nannies birthday is next week. We are planning in hand making her a card with our baby, and giving her a dunkin gift card. She brings coffee and a bagel from dunkin almost every day she comes to our house, which is why I was thinking a dunkin gift card? she is kind of private on her interest and hobbies outside of work (minus her love for baking as she does bake us goodies from time to time) so im not sure what else to get her or if this is even a good gift idea? I just don’t want to get her nothing because she is amazing with our little girl and we want her to feel appreciated (she is getting a bonus in august which is why i was leaning against giving her cash or a check for her birthday, plus to me that feels less personal)

3u2, family planning advice?

We have a 10 month old and will be adding two more babies to our family by the end of the year. My husband would prefer me on birth control (though he acknowledges it is my choice), but I am hesitant. We both agree (though I know it can change) that we want more kids in the future. I don’t know how many kids I want in total, but he would ideally like 5. I just know my family isn’t complete yet. I am leaning on not going on birth control, and just letting whatever happens happen, but am i being completely insane? Financially, money isn’t the issue, emotional and mental capacity is. We have a full time nanny (part time now, will be full time in August) and I am a stay at home mom, so I feel like if i get pregnant it will be manageable because I will have a second pair of hands helping me, but am I being delusional? Would 4u3 be a terrible idea if thats how things played out? Would love any advice anyone has on the matter

Slowly Making the Switch to Reusable Products, Anything I am missing?

We are growing our family, and I decided to venture down the rabbit hole of cloth diapering. Which led me down the rabbit of other reusable products. I was able to get reusable period products for free from a local nonprofit (brand new; don’t worry) and was also able to get majority of my cloth diapering set up for free from another nonprofit. (I do have experience cloth diapering for a child i used to nanny for, so I’m confident in my ability to sanitize and clean both cloth diapers and reusable period products) But i started exploring other ways to reduce our monthly costs and overall waste, and decided to switch to reusable snack and sandwich bags, and reusable paper towels. I have 10 sandwich bags and maybe 5-6 snack bags, and 1 set of reusable paper towels. I realize i likely will need more than 1 set of reusable paper towels, but this is a starter to see if i like the brand and want to buy more or explore different options. I also have some beeswax food wrappers i got for Christmas that i decided to finally open and use. Is there anything else i should look into and explore switching to reusables? Are there any nice reusable gallon bags for the kitchen anyone can recommend? I like the ones i can throw in the wash, so i got esembly and itzy ritzy ones in the sandwich and snack bags sizes, but would love something bigger too if anyone has any recommendations?

Do I have too many easter eggs

We have 50 easter eggs (different sets and characters). We have one daughter right now, but will be welcoming 2 more babies into our home in the next couple of months. I am decluttering and organizing stuff. In our Easter bin we have 50 easter eggs, is this a reasonable amount for 3 kids? I know the babies may not be able to hunt for easter eggs next easter, but should i keep all 50 since they fit in our easter storage bin, or even with 3 kids, is 50 easter eggs too many? I honestly have no expectation on what a reasonable amount is, so im just trying to ask more experienced parents since my daughter was too young to hunt for eggs this year (grandparents each sent us a pack of easter eggs this past easter, which is how we ended up with so many — they also all sent an Easter basket, but since there us only 3 i figured we’d keep those since eventually i know we will need 3 easter baskets)

The Cloth Option

I signed up from the cloth option, since we are about to welcome 2 more babies into our family in a few months, and my daughter is only 10 months old (yeah insane; i know lol basically when doctors say you are infertile, don’t listen) and they approved my daughter, and stated they would send a separate package for the babies when I’m a month out from my due date. Im so impressed. They sent a combo of AIO, fitteds, and pockets with some really nice brands included. I was even more surprised that some were new with tags. I even got two wet bags, which I just find so thoughtful and helpful overall. l’m so excited to start this journey and so thankful for a cheaper alternative to getting started like TCO.

Am i overreacting and going crazy, or am i being phrogged?

for the last two weeks, my tortoises cage has been rearranged, plants replanted, food bowl cleaned, every single night. I go to bed, take a picture— jt looks one way, wake up its entirely a fucking different set up. Guys my tortoise isnt moving his gnomes around or replanting his plants on his own, nor is he relocating his climbing tower. I have a hermit crab whose cage has a shell in it that ive never in my life seen before, and my aquarium, which has only ever had 2 shrimp in it, now had a 3rd completely different species of shrimp in it, and some how my cats are apparently no longer shitting because the litter box is fucking empty every morning when i wake up. im losing my mind. my husband who has never once taken care of the pets in our 4 years of marriage states its not him, and actually bought cameras cause he is concerned because he also has started acknowledging that its not me or him making the changes or cleaning up after our pets. granted its nice that someone is doing it, but who the fuck is in my house taking care of my pets while i sleep??? j feel like im losing my mind but someone is fucking with my pets and their cages. to be fair, we literally never lock our doors, i started doing it a few days ago when i finally started to realize maybe my husband wasn’t lying about it being him when he ordered cameras for the house but i feel completely insane saying someone is in my house taking care of my pets and rearranging their enclosures, but i swear to fucking god its not me, but like why would someone come into my house and fuck with me by rearranging my pets enclosures? granted is also a 3 story town home so i wouldn’t be able to hear someone downstairs when im sleeping on the third floor so i feel like its possible but i also cant tell if im just completly over reacting and being crazy

How many cloth diapers needed for 2 infants?

i am having 2 babies this year and decided to cloth diaper, i am trying to figure out how many diapers i need for 2 babies. i ideally want to have to do laundry every other day, since i will have 3 under 2. should i also get a few different types of cloth diapers or just stick with one? I was also looking into “the cloth option” and was wondering if anyone has ever used them to get a diaper loan? any recommendations are welcome!

Half Disposable and Half Cloth Diapering, is it reasonable?

I do have experience cloth diapering in the past when I was a nanny, but the mom did majority of the cleaning, i just folded the diapers. Someone in our community gave me a bunch of cloth diapers, but we also have a lot of left over diapers in NB-Size2 from our daughter (she is 10 months old, so diapers are definitely good still), but we have no where near enough to have what we need for two babies at once. Since we will have 3 under 2, all in diapers, and Ive decided to formula feed this time (breast feeding was just not good for my mental health or anxiety), cloth diapering sounds like an ideal way to save money. Our community also has a few nonprofits that provide free cloth diapers to families, so we could get additional cloth diapers since the set we got came from a singleton, so I know i may need extras. Has anyone used disposables diapers for leaving the house and then cloth diapered the rest of the time when you have multiples? Or am i just creating too much work from all the extra laundry it will cause

Stroller question : toddler + 2 babies

im about to have 3 under 2 (2 newborns, 14 month old) needless to say, i need a good stroller recommendation. is it realistic to put both babies in the bassinet (i have mockingbird single to double) while they are little, then when they out grow that use a double stroller and put one baby in the baby carrier? or is that just super unrealistic and i need a three seater? is that even a thing that they make? my daughter is just too young to be able to walk places and i don’t see that changing anytime soon (she was a late crawler and has no interest in walking yet)
