[LEAK / TESTIMONY] My Experience at the Mission Center of Caracas, Venezuela (Simon Tribe): 7 Months of Coercive Control, Theological Distortion, and Material Leak (219 MB)

Hello everyone. I am writing this testimony completely anonymously to alert the Spanish-speaking community, especially in Latin America and Venezuela, about the current modus operandi of Shincheonji (SCJ). I was trapped in their online classes from November 2025 to June 2026 in Caracas. I withdrew abruptly after identifying their doctrinal lies and the devastating psychological damage they cause. Along with this testimony, I am sharing a permanent link containing all the digital evidence of their classes at their introductory and intermediate levels.

1. Recruitment and Intrusive Profiling (Profiling)

My entry point was relational deception. I was invited by someone I considered my best friend from university. She was already advanced in the group's levels (having been recruited in turn by another acquaintance) and pitched the course to me under an innocent facade: a non-denominational, edifying, free, and wonderful Bible study seminar.

Before entering, I had to pass through a mandatory filter: a supposed "admission interview" conducted by an "evangelist." Today I understand that this was an exhaustive psychographic profiling. They interrogated me in an extremely intrusive manner about my personal, academic, work, and family background, as well as my exact daily schedules—truly an excessive number of questions regarding very personal and specific matters. Afterward, they assigned me another "evangelist" who kept tabs on me, monitored my progress, sent the Zoom links for the classes, and managed assignments.

2. The Escalation of Time Commitment and Systematic Isolation

The group uses a method of progressive habituation. What began as a light activity of 1 or 2 days a week quickly transformed into an absorbing, high-demand regime:

  • Initial Phase: 3 weekly classes via Zoom (strict schedule from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM, 2.5 hours per session). Requirements: camera must be turned on mandatorily, you must log in 10 minutes early, no drinking water is allowed during the session, and wearing headphones is mandatory.
  • Intermediate Phase: The 3 weekly classes + 1 mandatory review session (one-on-one via Zoom or in very small groups with the evangelist).
  • Consolidation Phase: The 3 classes + the review session + two mandatory Sunday activities: a recreational event designed to bond the group, and a church-style service connected directly with instructors from the headquarters in Spain.

This schedule—coupled with completing various tedious assignments (ranging from written texts to drawings), studying for constant exams, and eventually participating in their "harvesting" activities—generated intense fatigue and chronic stress. It deprived us of free time, indirectly forcing us to isolate ourselves from family and friends outside the center.

3. Group Demographics and Punitive Academic Control

The class started with about 200 people. At the 7-month mark, when I left, there were barely 70 students remaining, even after merging our section with another class that was slightly behind. The program began with a course they called "pre-introductory" while they continuously added new people. The vast majority of the victims were middle-aged and elderly women distributed between Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador.

The control was suffocating. We had to send detailed lecture notes, homework assignments, and summary audio clips of the class to our assigned evangelist almost daily. The exams were constant and punitive: the system forces you to get a perfect score of 100/100 points under the premise that if you do not, you are not "sealed" with the word. Likewise, even if you passed, they forced you to retake the exact same exam up to 6 times under intense psychological pressure and direct reprimands from the collaborators, who minutely monitored the Zoom screens during every single class.

4. The Hidden Agenda: From Supposed Orthodoxy to the Revelation of "Passover"

The first few months (pre-introductory and introductory levels) operate as a smoke screen. They talk to you about biblical history, Christian life, prayer, and covenants, sounding like a conventional Bible study. However, the parable lessons introduce a severe hermeneutical error: they impose the fixed idea that a biblical symbol has a single rigid, unchangeable meaning throughout the entire Scripture, using it as the foundation for their pillar doctrine of Apostasy, Destruction, and Salvation (ADS). They also claim that the entire Bible is written "in parables"—meaning everything is figurative, not literal—so they can always apply their allegorical interpretation and present their teachings through the isolated, forced, and far-fetched use of verses taken completely out of context.

For months, they spoke to us using abstract figures: the Faithful and Wise Servant, the Overcomer, the Promised Pastor, the New John, or the Male Child, as well as Mount Zion, the Barn, the Basket, the Vineyard, the New Heaven and New Earth, the New Jerusalem, and the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, hiding who or what they actually referred to. It is at the 5-month mark, right before moving to the intermediate level, during a bridge class called "Passover," where they execute the abrupt revelation of the so-called "Fulfillment of Revelation":

>

In this phase, they force you to memorize and present this Korean historical process as if it were a mandatory doctrine of salvation. They require you to thoroughly memorize all their lessons and listen to them 5 times a day using audio files they share. In addition, they introduce basic Korean language classes into the program.

5. The Breakdown of Christology and the Deification of Lee Man-hee

The most abominable breaking point is their heretical and blasphemous Christology, which they reveal at the end. Throughout the course, they deliberately omit the crucifixion, the resurrection, Christ's redemptive work on the cross, and His role as the sole mediator. Furthermore, their lessons completely ignore Paul's epistles and the general epistles.

In the final stretch, the instructor explicitly stated: "Jesus is NOT God." According to their doctrine, Jesus was simply a man—a pastor-prophet of the First Coming where the spirit of God dwelt, but not the Creator. Under that same logic, they teach that in the Second Coming, Jesus does not return physically, but rather in spirit, dwelling exclusively inside the body of the elderly Korean man, Lee Man-hee. They position him as the promised pastor of this era, likening him to Noah, Abraham, and Moses in their respective times, claiming that just as Jesus was God's messenger for the First Coming, this old man is God's messenger for the Second Coming. They systematically conceal his public scandals regarding the embezzlement of funds and his sabotage of health measures during the Covid-19 pandemic, presenting him instead as an blameless pastor who has endured 40 years of persecution for carrying the word.

They claim that current Catholic and Protestant churches are Babilonia and the Great Whore, that their pastors are ministers of Satan carrying the spirit of the Antichrist—describing them as modern-day Pharisees—and that their teachings are "Satan's seed." They strictly forbid members from consuming any external Christian content, preaching, or books. Furthermore, they teach the disturbing doctrine that members do not possess the Holy Spirit on their own; instead, in these end times, they must spiritually fuse with the souls of past martyrs (misinterpreting the Wedding of the Lamb as a physical spirit-body union, a concept rooted in Korean cultism) to achieve physical immortality. They preach, defend, and venerate Lee Man-hee (whom they absurdly present as the angel of Rev 22:6) far more than Christ Almighty and Sovereign Himself. They constantly shield themselves with the argument that only they master the prophecy and fulfillment of Revelation, while throwing in your face the scandals, diversity, and errors of traditional churches, which they accuse of not studying the Bible.

6. Dynamics of Psychological Abuse, Phobias, and Relational Impact

Shincheonji destroys mental health through a combination of Love Bombing (initial bombardment of affection by the evangelists) which later transforms into an incredibly strict, cold treatment filled with harsh and punitive reprimands.

  • Inducción de fobias (Induction of Phobias): They systematically manipulate you by infusing terror. They repeat constantly that if you miss two classes, if you have doubts, or if you do not complete your tasks on time, you are breaking the covenant, you do not love God or His Word, and you are going straight to hell.
  • Explotación de heridas (Exploitation of Wounds): They skillfully exploit the bad experiences or emotional wounds that students have had in their previous traditional local churches to convince them that the Christian world is entirely corrupt and that only SCJ possesses the "revealed word" and the correct Christian lifestyle.
  • Destrucción de relaciones (Destruction of Relationships): I watched my best friend from university completely transform due to fanaticism. She became completely paranoid; she told me that one night she genuinely felt she was going to hell for not following the center perfectly. She suddenly threw minor mistakes I made in the past back in my face and cut ties with me and many of her lifelong friends, telling me she preferred to isolate herself within the center because that was where her salvation lay, demanding that we only discuss topics related to the center. When I decided to quit, she completely cut off communication with me instantly and blocked me everywhere. For them, those of us who leave before finishing the levels to be part of the "144,000 sealed" and remain for life on "Mount Zion" are labeled "beasts, apostates, and destroyers." They constantly pressure and order students to completely abandon their local churches and "congregate" solely in the cult's online classes for their "salvation." They present themselves as the only righteous ones and claim that Christians in regular churches are wicked, even though you never meet them in person, and they do not even have a physical headquarters in Venezuela right now.

7. The Hidden Infrastructure of Shincheonji in Venezuela

Despite operating under the radar fraudulently through social media and face-to-face campaigns without identifying their affiliation, the group is growing exponentially in Venezuelan territory:

  • Hierarchical Structure: The groups in Venezuela are assigned to the Simon Tribe (one of the 2 tribes managed for the Spanish-speaking world from the SCJ headquarters in Spain, as they claim that Latin America holds 2 of the 12 total tribes). Directives come directly from Spain, and online graduations are reported there.
  • Membership: They internally declared that they have approximately 500 members in Venezuela, spread across various states of the country. At the advanced level, these members are placed into Telegram groups to support cells, interact among themselves, and participate heavily in the cult's activities.
  • Expansion Plans: Upon reaching the milestone of 500 members in a single city, their active project is to establish and inaugurate a physical church infrastructure in Caracas, which will not be open to the public but strictly reserved for their "sealed" members.
  • Local "Harvesting" Tactics: With a few active members, they organize outdoor recruitment activities disguised as invitations to simple Bible study groups in strategic points of Caracas, specifically at the Caricuao Zoo and in the La Candelaria area. They also pressure current students to invite as many people as they can to the Zoom classes via social media and in person, demanding they retain their new recruits or "fruits" in order to be saved.
  • Church Infiltration: They have a systematic project where they send letters and requests to pastors of traditional evangelical churches in Venezuela with the goal of introducing themselves into the congregations and teaching their classes without identifying their true affiliation. They also use the tactic of infiltrating the churches of acquaintances and offering their course.

CONCLUSION AND LEAK LINK (EVIDENCIA)

Leaving this group generates extreme anxiety due to the heavy codependency and the implanted fear that "outside of SCJ there is no purpose or salvation." However, mental freedom and biblical truth are non-negotiable.

So that researchers on this platform, pastors in Venezuela, and people who currently doubt their "Bible studies" can verify that all of this is real, I leave here the permanent MEGA link where I have uploaded a 219 MB .zip file containing official PowerPoint slides, homework assignment questions, audio files of advanced classes, flyers of special activities, and exams solved by the instructors, which were taught to us online at the Simon Tribe Mission Center in Caracas:

If you find yourself in a Zoom course where you are forbidden from researching more about the group online, where they are not transparent about their affiliation from the start, where they demand absolute control over your time, and omit the deity of Christ, you are in the exact place I am describing. Get out immediately. You are not alone. May God bless you greatly and guide you to His sound doctrine in the Truth, which is our Lord Jesus Christ.

Love and not Rules

Amos 5:24
“Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice,
an endless river of righteous living.” Father please show us how to live our faith not in a self serving or transactional way training to earn your favor by following rules. You desire genuine hearts and lives that reflect your character, not just outward appearances and not trying to do good on a points system to earn credits with you or people here on earth. Please fill our hearts with the love and desire to want to live in a way that honors you. Please give us opportunities to unselfishly share your love not out of obligation but out of love and joy. Please help us to be not self seeking or to be envious of others, but to honer and respect the loved ones you have placed on our lives. Thank you father for the people you bring along side of us to share our walk with you. Encouraging one another with prayer and your words.
We pray it in Jesus name Amen

New Zealand Auckland Mount Roskill Church of Christ

I’m wondering if anyone here was involved with the Church of Christ in Mt Roskill, Auckland, New Zealand, during the 1990s.
I addended for a while during that period and, looking back, I experienced the group as a highly controlling cult. It displayed many characteristics commonly associated with high-control groups/ cults. The fear mongering pastors would constantly yell at us accusing us of being likewarm and unworthy and If anyone dare to so much as have a TV their home they would be verbally abused. As a new Christian and a young guy it was terrifying and damaging. All the women wore head coverings and their were no musical instruments with the “ worship “
One reason I’m posting is that I remember a New Zealand TV documentary from around that time featured former members discussing their experiences with the church. Seeing it shortly after I left was a significant moment for me because it confirmed many of the concerns I was already having. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to find a copy of the documentary.
I’d be interested to hear from anyone who attended, left, had family involved, or remembers the documentary. What was your experience? Did you experience pressure, control, intimidation, public correction, leadership intervention in personal matters, or anything else that now stands out to you?
Feel free to comment or send me a private message if you’d rather not post publicly.

Faith not performance

Ephesians 2:8-9
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.”

The lie says, “We have to perform so God will love us.”
The truth says, Jesus already brought us in, and the Father is not backing away from us!

Father God,
Thank You for loving us first through Jesus Christ.
We rest in the finished work of the cross.
We are not coming to You like beggars, we are coming as Your children.
Help our hearts stop living in fear and start trusting Your love.
Teach us what is true.
When fear rises, remind us that Jesus did not call us to a transaction, He called us to Himself.
We receive Your kindness.
We receive Your peace.
We receive Your Father heart.
We trust You with the parts of us that still feel scared.
We believe Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
We belong to You.
Feelings are a signal, not a sentence!
God never quits!
Don’t say, “I have to earn my place.”
Say, “I already have a place in Christ.”
Don’t say, “I am too mixed up for God.”
Say, “Jesus is enough for me, right now!” Amen.

r/skid2ndassassin Testimony of leaving SCJ

Hi guys, I pray you are all well! Here’s my testimony.

Okay, so after I came to Christ about a year ago I wanted to learn more. I started to share the Gospel, I shared it with someone who was in SCJ unfortunately.

That person introduced me to someone else who said to me, they were only taught people who were serious about learning. Me being enthusiastic about Jesus said of course!

3 months pass I’m just thinking you know this is scripture what I’m learning, but because I believe in OSAS I started to question everyone about it for some odd reason. I questioned the guy who was in charge of me from SCJ, I had got to the “advanced group by then.”

Because he believed in salvation by works and I believe OSAS we started to clash and I started to clash with the leaders of the group correcting the wrong doctrines they were teaching in the zoom class.

I prayed to God, please show me the truth I don’t want to make my friend who brought me to the group look bad. If the leaders are wrong show me if I’m wrong show me, but I don’t think I’m wrong.

I then go to another church which is now my home church, first person I run into directs me to a good friend of mine now who I told about the class I was taken and he called it out right away. Your in a cult he explained everything all their teachings their programs and I realized. Jesus answered my prayer.

I had a bad falling out with the members and the guy who I thought was my genuine friend. I feel for them though. They sincerely believe what they have is the truth. So now I want to help as many people as I can get it of it.

I’m meeting with someone who is currently in SCJ this Saturday evening to chat about what the new covenant is. I know they believe in 3 covenants so I want him to back it up with scripture and I want to walk him through where he might be wrong. Gently guide him.

That’s my cult testimony.

love others

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Our Father, we thank you for your love and for how you demonstrated the ultimate act of love by paying our debt on the cross. Thank you that this verse speaks of your love for us and also teaches us how we are to love others.
Please help us, Lord, to demonstrate your love to others in a way that reflects your character, not as harsh judges, but as loving children of our heavenly Father. Give us patience and understanding toward the people we come into contact with each day, especially when we find it difficult.
Help us to see the areas of our lives where we can do better. If we are envious of others, teach us to be content in your love and providence. If we are boastful or proud, help us to remember that every good thing comes from you, and may we give glory to you in all aspects of our lives.
We pray in Jesus name Amen.

Revelation of God’s love (1) Wednesday 10th June 2026

'I pray that you...know this love.' Ephesians 3:17-19 NIV

In the realm of general relativity, an event horizon is the point of no return. It's the point at which gravitational pull becomes so great that it's impossible to escape. The most obvious example is the black hole - a celestial object so massive that light can only enter but never exit its gravitational field. The escape velocity of a black hole is greater than the speed of light, which is impossible to exceed. So, once you cross its horizon, there is no turning back. God's love is like that. The Bible says, 'God is love' (1 John 4:8 NIV). The implications of that one statement will take all of eternity to unpack. Nothing pulls stronger or longer than God's love. Love is an event horizon, and once you cross over, you can't get back. And who would want to?
Logic won't get you to God's love. His love is beyond logical - it's theological. The only way to receive the love of God is via revelation. Paul wrote: 'I pray that you...may...grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ...that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God' (Ephesians 3:17-19 NIV). The love of God is measureless. It doesn't fit in a box, not even a box the size of the universe. And if the universe isn't big enough, God's love certainly won't fit within the confines of our human logic.
So how do we get God's love in our hearts and minds? Through a personal revelation! So, the word for today is: pray for a revelation of God's love.

Show compassion

Matthew 5:7

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”

Father, we thank you so much for the undeserved mercy and grace you freely give us. Thank you that your grace exceeds any wrongdoing or failure on our part. You take great delight in blessing your children. Please help us, Father. Show us the ways we can be merciful to others and, as your children, reflect the blessings you freely give us. Show us where we need to forgive those who have wronged us. Help us to be patient with others’ mistakes, as you are forever patient with us. Show us ways we can help those who are struggling, and remind us to show kindness without expecting anything in return. May our lives reflect the mercy we have received through Jesus Christ and bring glory to your name. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Before You Study With the World Mission Society Church of God, Please Read This

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) is currently conducting a major preaching campaign. This means members are actively approaching people in Walmart and Target parking lots, shopping centers, college campuses, parks, and other public places, inviting them to attend Bible studies.

The World Mission Society Church of God was founded in South Korea and teaches that a man named Ahn Sahng Hong was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

They also teach that an elderly woman currently living in South Korea, Zahng Gil Jah, is “God the Mother.”

Over the years, this organization has been widely criticized by former members, researchers, and cult experts.

Numerous former members have reported experiencing manipulation, social isolation, damaged family relationships, financial pressure, and intense psychological control while involved with the group.

If you are approached by a member of the World Mission Society Church of God, consider asking the following questions before agreeing to study with them.

1. Why Are Most of Ahn Sahng Hong’s Books Hidden?

Ahn Sahng Hong wrote a total of 19 books. However, only 6 of those books are commonly made available to members. In addition, researchers have documented significant edits and revisions made to some of the books currently distributed by the church when compared to earlier editions.

Ask the person preaching to you:

Why are only 6 of Ahn Sahng Hong’s 19 books available?

Why are the other 13 books not openly distributed?

Why have some of the available books been edited over the years?

2. Why Was the 1988 Prophecy Removed?

In Ahn Sahng Hong’s book The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life, he discussed a prophetic expectation connected to the year 1988.

Critics and former members have pointed out that references to this prediction were later removed from subsequent editions after the prediction failed to occur.

Ask:

Why was this section removed?

If Ahn Sahng Hong was the Second Coming Christ, why would a failed prophecy need to be hidden or edited?

Revelation 22:18-19 warns against adding to or taking away from God’s word. If this principle is important, why were these changes made?

3. Why Is the 2012 Prediction Not Discussed?

Ahn Sahng Hong also wrote a book titled The Bridegroom Was a Long Time in Coming and They All Became Drowsy and Fell Asleep.

Researchers and former members have pointed to passages that were interpreted as another prediction concerning the year 2012.

That prediction did not occur.

Ask:

Why is this book not readily available to members?

Why are members often unaware that it exists?

Why are the writings of the man believed to be “God in the flesh” not openly accessible?

4. Why Did the Teaching About “God the Mother” Change?

Ahn Sahng Hong wrote material warning against teachings that promoted the concept of a “Mother God” as part of a false gospel.

However, after his death, the World Mission Society Church of God officially began teaching that Zahng Gil Jah is God the Mother and an object of worship.

Ask:

If Ahn Sahng Hong opposed this teaching, why was it later adopted?

When and why did the doctrine change?

Why are members rarely encouraged to examine all of Ahn Sahng Hong’s writings on this subject?

5. Why Does the Church Claim Exclusive Truth While Hiding Information?

The World Mission Society Church of God teaches that it possesses the complete and perfect truth and that all other churches are spiritually wrong.

If that is true, then ask:

Why are important books and historical documents difficult to access?

Why are controversial teachings and failed predictions often unknown to members?

Why is outside research discouraged?

A belief system that is true should be able to withstand examination, scrutiny, and honest questions.

Please Research Before Committing Your Life

Before dedicating your time, energy, finances, relationships, and future to any religious organization, do thorough independent research.

Read information from multiple sources.

Examine original documents whenever possible.

Speak with former members.

Ask difficult questions.

Verify claims for yourself.

Many former members describe spending years in this organization before discovering information that was never disclosed to them during their Bible studies.

The more informed you are before joining, the better equipped you will be to make your own decision.

Cult awareness “one like John” or “one like apostle John”

If you are in a Bible study group were they are teaching parables, prophecy and fulfillment and talking about a one like John, one like Apostle John or an overcomer who they haven’t really revealed who he is. You’re in a cult
