Can I just say that I HATE short-form content? (dumb vent)

I don't have an issue with short videos, but rather how they are presented on YouTube and other social media platforms. I don't use TikTok or Instagram, but I love going on YouTube, and I honestly feel like the addition of shorts just ruined the website for me.

For some god-forsaken reason, when I get bored, I always go to shorts instead of finding a normal video to watch, even though I hate content formatted to scroll through. It's like a mind worm takes over me, and next thing I know, I'm being a content zombie for hours.

I just downloaded an extension to remove shorts from my browser, and it has improved my experience of YouTube tenfold... at least while I'm using my computer, that is.

my laptop is slowly becoming unusable and i need some advice

so, a few years ago, I got an Asus gaming laptop from a friend. i love the computer, it works great for everything i like to do... however, the case is giving out around the hinges and I don't know what to do. I don't think it would be possible to repair the case at this stage, but I can't just leave it like this because my screen is starting to flop around like the head of a newborn baby. I've been thinking about bringing it to a computer repair shop but idk how much replacing the case would cost, like everyone else I'm on a tight budget right now. I've been thinking about building a wooden case and just mounting the components inside but I have no experience with doing such things. Any advice would be much appreciated.

edit: I've taped it back together for now, but I am still hoping to find a cheap long-term solution.

Pipsqueak 2 is really difficult to play with.

So, for a while, my account had access to DeepSqueak because I had paid for one month, but even after canceling my Plus subscription, I could still use it for new chats for some reason. I think they recently fixed the bug that allowed me to use DeepSqueak because now I'm forced to use Pipsqueak2... and I find it really hard to navigate a story with it. It's frustrating because I don't mind the way it writes in general, but eventually, all the characters just stop wanting to use dialogue altogether. You really have to drag a response out of them. This would be a great thing to use for mute characters, but when I go into an RP expecting to be able to talk with a character, it gets annoying pretty quickly when they just ignore my dialog. I know I've seen other people post about this, but I didn't realise how bad it actually is until now.

I(28F) need some advice for dating women

Hello everyone!

So, um, I was previously married to a man, but we divorced about 2ish years ago. I used to be bi, but ever since my marriage ended, I have no romantic interest in men whatsoever. I only find myself wanting to date women; however, while I've slept with a woman in the past, I've never actually dated one. The last girl I tried to ask out already had her sights set on a guy, and they're together now.

Any advice for dating women, especially dating in a small town, would be much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post!

I tried out a few suggestions, and this is what she looks like now! I did attempt to give her long red gloves as was previously proposed, but I was not a fan of short puffy sleeves, so I decided to keep them long.

More opinions and suggestions are welcome, of course. Someone had mentioned the name Pepper, which I do like a lot, but I would like to consider other options before I decide for sure. let me know what you think!

This character is who I refer to lovingly as Subject 0001

I tried to make her cute while also keeping cues that something is wrong (the sharp teeth and swirling eyes)

The idea I have for her is a little convoluted, but the short of it is that she isn't human. In fact, this isn't what she truly looks like; this is just a projection made by a monster who feeds on humans. She crawled out of someone's computer screen after they tried to play a mysterious CD, and she immediately attacked the first person she saw. This incident led to her capture by the government, which is still trying to figure out exactly what she is. She tries to lure people close by acting sweet and friendly, but will attempt to eat any humans she comes into contact with.

Found in a second hand arts and craft store in Arizona, they where selling old photographs for 25 cents and this one caught my eye.
