The "cancer" in the group

Malignant tumor Shekinah decided that someone else was the cancer in the group. Not the one person everybody's angry at with good reason, herself. I cannot fathom how she rationalized painting Thais as the bad guy. Shekinah was the instigator from minute one. She came on the show with a chip on her shoulder over something petty and inconsequential: a social media unfollow. The flimsy ass justification Shrek tried to use that she was being vilified for her reaction instead of the person that she was reacting to, who she believes is the real villain. But guess what? Thais had nothing to react to before Shrekgina started the 100% of the shit between them. Shrek also doesn't seem to be able to get her tiny little brain around the obvious truth of the situation, which is she's the common denominator of people not liking her. It's not anybody else's fault that people don't like her. Nobody needed to turn people against her, she did that all on her own. And at some point a rational person understands that if everybody else says that you are wrong and you're are the only person who believes you to be right, there's a pretty good chance you're actually in the wrong. And she just can't accept ever being wrong.

Suffocating on her own pride while having nothing to be proud of is best way to describe this hollow plastic creature.

This is the most unlikable American cast of any season

Thomas: I honestly don't understand how Paula ever fell for him. I don't see any charm. I don't see any warmth. I don't see him treating her like he cares about her at all. He's so condescending. Bragging about not having spent any money in preparation for your in-laws to come stay with you is not the flex he thinks it is. He was basically saying "Praise me for being inconsiderate to you. I refused to spend any money to make sure you were comfortable while you were staying with me." Setting boundaries for your guests is perfectly alright. It's the way you ask them that matters. "I'm so happy that you guys are here. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to ask everybody to remove their shoes before coming into the apartment. I also have a sensitivity to perfumes, and I would really appreciate if you would refrain from using them because I have a bad reaction to them. Thank you very much in advance. I know that it's different than what you're used to so I appreciate your accommodation." However, he was right about eight people in the apartment plus the two of them being too many. They should have booked two separate hotel rooms next to one another. Maybe with adjoining doors so that Paula could still wake up and be near her family but not be on top of each other so that it's not quite as disruptive to Thomas's personal space. This is one of those situations where being cheap comes out expensive because now Paula's family thinks less of him and that's going to be hard to get past later on if they choose to go through with getting married, which I really don't think they should.

Catie: What an insufferable little asshole she is! She's going to try to force Josh to change his religion, be a cuckold in their relationship, leave his family and friends in his home country to isolate in America among her friends, all of whom she's fucked or tried to fuck or plans to try to fuck in the future. She gives zero consideration to how anybody else feels, least of all Josh. She's telling him she plans to cheat on him whether or not he sanctions it in their relationship, but she's trying to get him to sanction it so that she can do so without being labeled the bad guy. She should maybe watch the Jasmine/Gino story to see how well incorporating third parties into your sex life when you're married works out.

Debby: I'm convinced that she has a public humiliation kink and is also a masochist. All of this effort and emotion and money being poured into this dude who, almost the full 90 days in had not said he loved her. And when he did say it, it was this half ass afterthought response to her saying she loved him. Seems pretty obvious that her son doesn't want anything to do with this ridiculous relationship and I don't blame him. It is such a giant red flag that she doesn't want to invite her friends to her wedding because she knows that her friends have seen the garbage person she's marrying and they do not approve. I had to laugh during the cooking class scene when she's telling the teacher how he proposed to her. That teacher looked as horrified as we all were. I wonder if the producers interviewed him afterward and then ended up cutting whatever it is he said because I know I would have had some opinions if I were him.

Mallorie: She absolutely knows Raşit wants kids and she has known since before she brought him to the US. Clearly trapped him here before giving him the news that she didn't want to have kids. It's just unconscionable that this was not discussed before he left his country and his family and his whole life behind.

Shea: Is anybody else getting a gnarly whiff of sex tourist from him? I get the impression that Annabelle was a sex worker in the Philippines and that's how they met. Her familiarity with having to bathe him is reminiscent of brothels and bath houses. The relationship seems a little bit transactional to me. All of this cheating with his ex stuff just seems like manufactured drama because I cannot fathom a universe in which Shea is such a desirable guy to get with that women are fighting over him.

Marissa: She seems to be interested in having Edward as a house boy, not as a husband. The moment I saw the true nature of how she feels about Edward was when she told him to keep his voice down in the restaurant. Scolding him like he's a child when his voice wasn't any louder than her own. She was trying to disallow him from talking about something he wanted to discuss. Like he needs to get her permission to bring up any particular topic. She is very self-important and very self-centric and I can't imagine that she's not the same controlling bitch to her kids as she is to Edward. I think he should have left her long ago

Every one of the Americans are such selfish jerks this season!

An Open Letter to Shekinah

Shekinah,

This letter is intended to inform you of some things that are excruciatingly obvious to everyone who watches you on TV, but that you seem woefully oblivious about. The hope is that you will snap out of your lifelong cycle of playing the victim and finally accept your share of accountability for why most people who encounter you dislike you so intensely. It can't be all everyone else's fault all the time. Literally no one is jealous of you. Everything that you accuse others around you of doing and being are projected from your own character and actions on to others. In short, you don't play well with others. Unless you are the center of attention 100% of the time, you lash out. You can't take criticism, but you're a fire hose of criticism for other people. This is not going to make you someone who is viewed in a positive way. It's not anyone else's fault that you are viewed negatively. That's 100% on you. What you said about going back to your own country is not something that a person who doesn't have that sentiment already living in their heart would ever allow to cross their lips. Claiming you didn't mean it in a bad way is deeply disingenuous. There's no other way for that sentiment to be interpreted. You instigated the entire exchange and then had the audacity to turn around and try to play the victim. The belief that everybody else is always wrong and that you're always right is just unreasonable. Lacking the maturity and capacity to offer a sincere apology when you know that you're in the wrong, (as opposed to a memorized monologue) is not cute. It's indicative of a personality disorder. There is no angle from which what you said was okay. And here's the thing that seems to evade your intellectual grasp: had you just said oh my God I don't know what made me say that I'm so sorry. I've had too much to drink or I'm so tired and jet-lagged I'm not myself please forgive me. Or even the next day, pulling people aside one by one and saying "I'm so embarrassed for what I said last night. I didn't mean it and I hope you can accept my apology." Everybody there would have had so much respect for you. Everybody watching on TV would have had so much respect for you. The ability to admit when you're wrong and apologize for it is something that the majority of humans appreciate and respect. You don't seem to possess that ability. All of your energy goes into blaming the others instead of taking any accountability onto your own shoulders. You created a hostility between yourself and the group and then you tried to blame them for the hostility. That is toxic malignant narcissism. You've spent so much time working on your superficial outside appearance but you've neglected the ugliness inside that is continuing to come to the surface and make you appear like an incredibly bad person with an ugly soul.

Yes, you've dug yourself into this hole where the majority of people who are aware of who you are think poorly of you based on your own behavior. But the good news is it's not too late to change course. Of course there's going to be some people who just are never going to like you after all that you've done and said. You have to be able to accept that with some grace and dignity. People not liking you is not a character flaw on their part and you need to stop treating them like it is. When you behave with such overwhelming arrogance while simultaneously being the most wrong person in the room, you undermine your own likeability. And don't try to tell me you don't care. You wouldn't be all up in Reddit and other social media monitoring who's following you and who's no longer following you if you didn't care about your likeability. Everyone knows that you care deeply.

The last bit of advice I'll offer is this: delete all of your social media apps. Life is not happening on Instagram, Reddit, TikTok etc. Life is happening around you, not on your phone or your laptop. You are well into your 40s now and it is beyond unseemly to be so granularly wrapped up in individual viewers commentary to the extent where you go on the attack against them accusing them of being jealous of you when there's just not anything to be jealous of. Put the energy that you're pouring into social media obsession into your child or into your relationship if you still have one. If you don't, put that energy into becoming a better person. Everything isn't going to always be about you and you need to be okay with that. If you can't be, you'll continue to be someone who is laughed at, mocked and disliked. And you can claim to be cool with that, but everybody knows that you're not. This is an opportunity to see yourself reflected back and if you don't like what you see, you can't blame the mirror.

Lindsay Clancy Trial

I am absolutely sickened that any DA chose to bring this case to trial. Whoever decided to bring these murder charges should be disbarred. This is a woman who knew that there was a problem and sought help. She followed the advice of doctors who over-medicated her. She did everything right and was failed by the people who she went to for help. She was then further failed by a district attorney who looked at a woman who was paralyzed by her suicide attempt and called that suicide attempt fake. Fake suicide attempts do not result in paralyzation. It is beyond unconscionable that this woman who's already been through so much and has been failed by so many supposed authorities is now being tried for first degree murder. The only trials that should have occurred behind this tragedy are the trials of the people who failed Lindsay Clancy and then the people who tried to vilify her.

Libby: now she's DOUBLY insufferable with 2 chins

Watching Diaries & she's still just the worst. Looking forward to Annie finding out the same thing Loren and Yara already know: this lady is nobody's friend.

Takeaways from this episode

Marissa thinks FAR too highly of herself.

Catie is a nutjob and she's not an intelligent person. Case and point: why would she have flown into San Jose Airport if she was going to Alameda? Oakland airport, or SFO would have been so much more convenient? I'm sure it's cheaper to fly in to San Jose but then you end up spending that same money on a rental car and driving it to Alameda. Also?

Catie's mom: Your drinking and obnoxious behavior make me sad. You're going to hurt somebody someday.

Catie: (nodding) You mean, like, murder?

Shea is foul & Annabelle should RUN

Rasit was being SCHOOLED on how to be the bigger person. I'm so proud of him for snapping out of it and correcting himself.

Ashia crazy crazy.

Sheclowna: "i WaS AtTAcKeD!"

To believe that people having a good time after the shitty people left the party had anything to do with celebrating anything that happened other than the shitty people leaving is some true narcissistic delusion. I especially love for her the fact that she's going to find out during a taping of BTS that her husband basically said that her stupidity outweighed her ability to compromise.

Thomas & Paola

What are these two people doing together? He openly mocks her belief that she's able to manifest things but then loses his absolute shit when he thinks she's mocking him after he way overreacts to her putting on perfume. Gluing the perfume bottle closed was egregious.

I need to trade tickets for the August 29th early show @ the Masonic for a different night. HAAALLP!

Earlier this year while in an absolute blue funk, I saw that there were tickets available to a band camp show at the Masonic on August 29th, so I grabbed two tickets. Best seats I could afford were floor seats but not super prime front and center ones. I think I paid $260 something dollars for them. A couple weeks ago, I found out that a friend that I made online over a decade ago but have never met in person is coming to town the weekend of the 29th. I'm hosting them at my house. I would feel like such a shitty host if I went to the show without them, but I only have two tickets. I would give my friend and her travel companion my tickets, but I've already invited somebody to come to the show with me and don't want to disappoint him. Also, I really want to see Josh Johnson. Like, really really want to see him.

All of this is to say if somebody in San Francisco has tickets for a different night, ***even if they're not as good seats,*** I will be forever grateful if I could trade my tickets with someone who has tickets to another night, since additional shows have been added now.

C'mon fam. Help a comedy nerd out!!

Trade tickets with me! Josh Johnson 8/29 8:30

Earlier this year I bought tickets to see Josh Johnson at the Masonic for his comedy band camp tour. It turns out, I can't go on the 29th, but since other shows have been added, I'm hoping to trade with someone so that I can still see Josh while he's in town. The tickets I have are not fantastic seats, but they are floor seats. Am willing to trade for balcony or further back on a different night. Just really don't want to miss the show. Message me if interested

I want to trade my tickets for Josh Johnson on 8/29 @ The Masonic for tickets to see him on a different night. Any takers?

Do you have tickets to see Josh Johnson at the Masonic in August? I'm looking to trade the tickets that I bought for comedy band camp on August 29th at 8:30 p.m. for tickets to a show any other night he's in San Francisco. I bought these tickets, and they are OK seats but not great, before I found out that an online friend of mine is actually going to be in town and I'll get to meet her for the first time over that weekend. I still want to go see the show but I'm realizing that I'll need to go a different night since I only bought two tickets and my online friend is traveling with a friend of hers and staying with me that weekend. I have been dying to see Josh live and bought these tickets when it was just a single night of shows that had been announced. He's since added additional shows and I'm hoping to trade for tickets to one of those shows. I'll even take lesser seats as an even trade. DM me if interested.

HELP A SISTA OUT! Trade tickets for SF shows with me!

I'll try to make a long story short: earlier this year I bought tickets to see Josh on August 29th at the Masonic in San Francisco. However, a friend that I made online over 10 years ago is finally going to be here in the city and it's over that same weekend. I'm hoping that somebody will be willing to trade tickets with me so that I can go to a show on another night since additional shows have been added. I don't have great seats, but I will gladly trade for lesser seats just to be able to go on a different night. Any takers?

BEWARE! THIS JOB IS A SCAM

This appeared to be a legitimate remote job, but this morning I received a job offer that included being asked to cash checks and use those funds to purchase things and send them to "foster/orphanages." In addition to the myriad grammatical errors, and the hilarious requirement of being "upright" (as opposed to, I guess prone? LOL), this person claims that he will send a check for $675 before you ever do any work for him! There's no doubt in my mind that the checks are fraudulent and that this is one of the oldest scams on the internet. Really gross to be targeting people who are seeking work, but that's what they do. They look for people who are desperate enough to believe that someone's going to send them a real check.

#Indeed really needs to do a better job vetting who they let post on their platform

Shekinah IS SO STUPID!!

I thought it was common knowledge that Instagram has regularly dropped followers from people's accounts. It's a weird glitch of their algorithm engineering. But this lady's ridiculous insecurity about being unfollowed is truly what's wild here. She made this assumption that it couldn't possibly happen within the technology of Instagram, but she didn't bother to research whether or not that was possible before she went off and made this crazy petty argument based entirely on her vanity and insecurity. A quick Google search just now confirmed that indeed, Instagram sometimes has a bug that causes followers to be dropped. S & S are both wastes of space. They're just proving it by continuing to suckle at the 90 day teat. Shekkie should look at Rebecca and know that's her future.
