Anyone receive items they didn't order?

A few days ago I received a box that had (3) Softsoap bottles in them. I vaguely remembered putting them in my Woot cart maybe a month or 2 ago during one of the household goods sales, but looking through my Woot order emails and order history on the app, there is no record of it.

Then today, I received (3) Dove Antiperspirants. Again, I vaguely remember putting them in my cart a while ago, but there's zero history of it in my emails, or in my Woot order history.

No recent charges on my credit card either.

These came in an Amazon box, but these aren't the type of items I order from Amazon, and again, no order confirmation emails or anything in my order history.

My search for a replacement robot vacuum

Warning - Mostly rambling about past purchases, features I wanted in a new robot, features not so important, and what I've learned after having many robots in the past 2 decades.

After probably having 10 or 11 in the last 20 years (I just searched my email and saw I bought a refurbished Roomba from Amazon in January 2006), it was time for a new one, as one of our two Deebots (we keep one upstairs and one downstairs) started acting wonky, and the usual deep cleaning of the unit and sensors didn't fix it. My budget was $300. Knowing all my past robots seem to last 3 years or so before something start acting up, the thought of dropping $600, or about a dollar every time it ran, seemed like way too much. In terms of feature:

MOPPING - I really didnt need a mopping unit, as I just purchased a Shark MessMaster a few months ago, and really like how it works, and don't mind pulling it out once or twice a week for the high traffic areas. It seemed like about 80 to 90% of the robots on Amazon have mopping now. I figured I'd just shop for a well rated unit, and likely not use the mopping feature if the one I purchased had it.

WIFI - Even though our robots are set to start every day at a preset time, the ability to remoty start it when you're away from home, so it's doing work when the house is empty, is key.

ROOM MAPPING - Nice to have, I feel like you get a more through clean rather than the random routes the basic models have. Rarely do I tell the robot to only clean a certain room, maybe 2% of the time. It has come in handy when breaking a glass in the kitchen and you just want to focus on one area.

AUTO-EMPTY - I hadn’t had auto-empty robots until the last 2 Deebots, purchased about 4 years ago, and it's actually been nicer than expected, with a dog and 2 cats, to not worry about the dust bin quickly getting overloaded, so that was a requirement.

With that being said, the most reliable unit I ever had qas one I purchased about 6 years ago, a super basic one from Goovi. No mopping, no mapping, no wifi, no auto empty. Just a remote control to send it scheduling. It's fallen down a wood staircase and didn't skip a beat. It never did weird forward backward dances like every other unit I've ever had from multiple manufacturers, probably because the sensor suite on it was so basic, pretty much just detecting when it touched a wall and should change direction. I replaced the battery about 3 years ago when runtime dropped to about 30 minutes, and a $19 battery made it like new.

Doing some research in this group and on Amazon made my head spin. Just as I though that I found the one that fit my needs, I'd see some other review that said it was crap and avoid it like the plague, so I'd start the search over, rinse and repeat.

Finally, I realized I'd never find one if I kept this search method up, and I chose a Roborock Q7 M5. Amazon reviews were decent, price was less than I was expecting to pay ($150), and it checked all of my boxes in terms of features.

And while I'm not a fan of extended warranties, I was sure to get the 3 year one from Asurion for $24, which I'd be shocked if I don't use.

Went from $50/mo 500/50 to 1000/100 unlimited data for $10 more per month

300mbit service started about 7 months ago for $50 a month. A few months later ws offered a free upgrade to 500mbit service.

A few days ago, knowing we were over our 1280gb data cap for the first time, with about 4 days left in the cycle, I added the $30 500gb package, so $80 a month. I just logged in to cancel the extra data for next month, and to my surprise had an offer for unlimited gigabit for $20 less than the $80.

1 GIG
Monthly Charges
$60.00

PLAN
1 GIG $124.00

EQUIPMENT
Panoramic Wifi $15.00

ADD-ONS
Unlimited Data Plan $50.00

DISCOUNTS
$50 500 mbps, $60 1G, or $100 2G (for 12 months) discount applied
minus
−$64.00
Panoramic Wifi - Discount (for 12 months) discount applied
minus
−$15.00
Limited time offer - Free unlimited data (for 12 months) discount applied
minus
−$50.00

Hopefully by the time the discounts fall off, the competing fiber service that's been put in the ground in our neighborhood will be active, but until then I'm super happy not to stress about overages, especially with the kids out of school, chewing thru data.

I have a good few weeks with 🌮 & ⚡, and my bet limit goes from $30 to $5.

Screw you Poop Picks, taking my business to one of the other platforms.

Spacex splash down Wednesday morning off Oceanside coast

It might be visible. Expect a sonic boom (and a ton of people posting here asking what that noise was)

Their AI assistant is actually good for something!

I had a pet peeve that I couldn't easily see the state of charge of my blinds without clicking into each of them.

Saddlebag from bike found

A few of us tried to yell at you to let you know it fell off, but you probably had earbuds in, and didn't stop. This was today, Friday the 15th, at about 8:45am.

If you're missing your bag, message me with the make/color/what was inside/what was on the outside of the bag to claim it.

Stone facade mistaken as human 😂

I love my Eufy system, maybe the bar is set low from my former Arlo system, but this had me cracking up.

4 people stabbed at Cassidy St. Beach stairs

I came upon it when they were cleaning up the blood and caution tape. It was the most Oceanside thing ever, blood on the sidewalk and dolphins playing in the surf below.

S330 battery went from 100% to 9% in just a few days - Why?

Any idea what would cause this? Motion events on this camera shouldn't have changed much in the past few days. Solar production has been about the same as usual. All other cameras on the network holding steady at 95-100%
