Phase between pick ups

This epiphone dot had a pair of GFS Retrotron pick ups. I had a spare pair of Gibson Alnico pick ups and thought it’d be cool to have one of each installed.

After swapping the bridge pickup out, I noticed when I had the pickup selector set in the center, the guitar became quieter. While having the selector here, if I turned one of the pick ups down, the signal got louder; hence I concluded there was a phase issue going on.

I figured that since the two retrotrons never had this problem, they must have opposite wiring. So if I just swapped the remaining Retrotron (neck) out with the one I just removed from the bridge spot, this should fix the issue.

However, there still is some volume drop out when I have the pick up selector set to the middle. I’m confused as to why that would be. Is there something inherent about these pick ups that make them incompatible?

BOSS PH-3 I think I got ripped off

Got this pedal used off reverb. Settings 4,8,10, and 12 barely allow any signal to pass through. Fall, rise and step work fine. Confused why those settings work okay while the others don’t. Perhaps I’m just not using it correctly.

How do you gauge if your vocal levels (and/or other sources) are sufficient into Pro Tools?

Do you have any particular method for gauging that you're hitting desirable levels into Pro Tools?

Im curious mostly about tracking vocals but any other sources as well.

Do you use any level metering plugins or simply use the tracks green sample peak level meter?

I had an idea for another type of fabric to attach to the chair zero in place of the seat fabric that it comes with.

The concept is for a new way to enjoy the chair at the beach.

This new piece would connect to the same poles at the original fabric but would be flat and taut across the surface. The chair would be placed as if it had been knocked backwards from its typical standing position and the user would then lay on the sand and use the chair to rest their head and shoulders on like a beach recliner. The photos show a crude illustration of this concept. The blue line is the ground.

I don’t know what fabric would be best. Dyneema would be nice for strength and weight but perhaps there’s another fabric that would be better.

If anyone of you has an Etsy shop or takes custom orders, I’d certainly like to talk.

Interested in hearing thoughts about this concept. Thanks.

I pulled this hard drive out of an old Maxtor OneTouch II. The Maxtor was no longer powering on. My plan was to take out the drive and pop it in my toaster dock but the connection doesn’t allow. Was curious if anyone happened to know of any other kind of adapter that could be used for this.

Im curious why my meter looks like this. My session is definitely playing in stereo and I can clearly see the submix channel has a stereo out and my I/O shows my monitor path is stereo and the busses are also stereo. But this meter looks weird. Is this a setting issue or is there something going on with how the meter is reading my output?
