stray/feral who is probably pregnant- course of action?
There’s a friendly female cat that hangs out in our backyard that we’ve been feeding for a bit. Not spayed as far as I’m concerned. Her stomach has recently grown enough to the point where we think she’s pregnant (also puts her butt in the air when we pet her sometimes).
Advice? We’d want to scoop and send to a shelter as well as have her spayed in a catch and release, but I’m concerned about local shelter capacity and the time frame of care for newborns.
We CANNOT keep them by any means— just asking when we should take them to a shelter when they’re born and how long we’d have to keep them if the there’s a temporary hold?
