We should be able to automatically stock the trade center with goods produced above a certain number, instead of setting a flat value

Is there a reason why it's not implemrnted like that? Seems like a no brainer to me.

To clarify, it would work like that:

For example, I want to sell tools, but I also want to always have 25 tools available in the settlement. So I'd set up that every tool produced after the 25th would automatically go to the trade center.

That way I would always have a buffer of tools in the settlement AND be able to immediately sell the maximum available amount at the trade center when the merchant arrives.

Right now if I set the TC to always stock 25 tools, it means that as soon as I sell these tools, the workers would go to bring another 25 potentially leaving the town with 0. Which can be alleviated with micromanagement, but that kinda defeats the purpose of automatic stoking.

Games that allow for the natural growth/aesthetic while still having logistics/resourse management?

I think like many people here I've played a bunch of city/base-building games and recently I think I've been to point out my personal problem with these games.

I think I don't like when basebuilders force you to build to a rigid optimal layout. Many of these games basically want you to make a tight, grid based factory town. Which makes sense in a game like Workers&Resourses or some sci-fi colony game, but looks off (to me) in the often employed medieval setting (I'm aware that planned cities were a thing since ancient times).

I'm fine with it in games like Anno or Against the Storm - which I consider more of a puzzle games, but I've been itching for something more free and natural, where you just build your town outward and liberally make aesthethic choices instead of economic ones. Some gridless games like Foundation, that *seem* to ephasize exactly what I'm talking about, still fall apart by the midgame if you don't adhere to an efficient layout (which is a grid, that the game doesn't allow you to build so easily).

I don't know, may be it's a me problem? May be I shouldn't be so fixated on the efficiency and allow my towns/bases to be a mess of "not enough food" notifications?

Anyway, I'm both looking for some recommendations and just venting some thoughts I've had. I'd like to know what are your all experiences with this "problem".

How viable is using a thumbpick with ukulele?

I've never used one, but I want my thumb rolls to have more *ring*. My job doesn't allow me to grow out the nails, so I thought may be a pick might help.

I'd appreciate any recommendations on choosing and using one.

I came upon this genre called THALL, that I've never heard of before, does anyone listen to this? Any recs?

The picture is the painting that is used as the cover art of the album "Gradus ad Parnassum" by the band Mirar.

I got the song "Nar Solen Gar Ned" in a stream and I thought it was kind of cool, a bit of a new sound for me. Sadly other songs on the album do not feature a vocal part, and didn't catch me as much.

Anyway, what are y'all thoughts on this subsubsubgenre?

On the fence with Farthest Frontiers

Basically, I like the idea of the game and I think I trust these developers (because I like Grim Dawn) but I see some criticisms in the reviews and on the forums.

However, I feel like people on Steam often exaggerate a game's problems or describe things you only notice after 100+ hours of play like it's a total game breaker.

What I would like to know is if this game actually somehow "broken"/bugged/glitchy/unpolished/unfinished and such or just has some minor hiccups like every base-builder does.

[Suggestion] Allow handling red roaches with the Pheromone Glands perk (or may be with Physics Graduate)

I think it would be neat if some perks (like the ones I mentioned) would allow us to hold and store red roaches, so that they could be transported to be used elsewhere.

The way I see it, you would be able to hold a red roach in a hand and when you "use" it, it would explode propelling you backwards with some knockback and damage dealt to you and the surrounding area.

We would be able exploit the exposion knockback for some extra height or distance, or use it as a weapon to kill denizens, get out of the vent thing's hold and break obstacles.

I think this interaction would be in line with the overall character of the game, and it balances out with how rare the red roaches are. It's kind of like the explosive rebar, but without throwing.

Simple fingerpicking tunes from videogames?

May be an odd question, but I like videogames and recently started learning the ukulele (I have a bit of guitar background tho), and small familiar tunes from videogame soundtracks are what I enjoy to play.

For example melodies like the Traveler's theme from Outer Wilds or the main menu theme from Stardew Valley.

I'm having a hard time, however, trying to remember which soundtracks seem fitting for the ukulele. So, I come here to ask for suggestions.

Habitation Yellow gates open if you throw an explosive rebar at it??

After coming down from the lookout tower in Forlorn Gateway, I chucked one of the explosive rebars slightly above the gate (aiming around where the white light is) and the gate has opened without turning the power on??

Is this intended? Did I accidentaly hit the power button behind the wall with the explosion? (the screen next by says "Powered")

[PC] W: Magma Candlestick Whip; H: ask (pre-DLC items), mule, karma

I've glitched the manor quest in my playthrough and this weapon is now not available for me. Will trade for any pre-DLC (or early DLC) weapons/armors/other items I happen to have.

Any youtubers covering the technical aspects of Elden Ring?

I really like illusory wall's YouTube channel, where he explains a lot of technical aspects about how the Dark Souls games are made and function. How the AI works, how the maps are built and connected, cut content left in the files etc.

He has some videos about Elden Ring, but of course I've already watched those. I know about Zulie and her videos are cool, but still I crave more.

Any recommendations?

A couple of blings from my recent playthrough

Nothing too special, just wanted to get these out there for whoever might like it. Added screenshots from "Status" for clarity.

First one: Traveler's Hat, Depraved Perfumer Robe, Highwayman Gauntlets, Traveler's Slops.

Note: I found out that all perfumer-related sets mix and match quite well actually, so there is room for experimentation.

Second one: Champion Headband, Night's Cavalry Armor (Altered), Godskin Apostle Bracelets, Sanguine Noble Waistcloth.

Note: I assure you, dear player, it is essential that the feet remain bare.

After 4 or so years, did anyone figure out why the Crucible Knight behind one of the Belfry portals doesn't drop runes or anything all?

Is this a never to be fixed bug? Is there a game-design reason behind this?

It's just very odd. Not every Crucible Knight drops their associated gear or spells, but literally every enemy, even roaming goats, drop at least some runes except for this one.

I've been running a dragon incantation oriented build during my current replay and discovered how heavy hitting this one actually is.

At first I disregarded it for being a bit slow, but closer to the late game I ended up almost abusing it in the boss fights.

Aside from dealing big numbers damage, it's actual utility is stance breaking. Most bosses so far needed about two bites in close succession (with some regular beating in between) to break their stance. With a follow up critical hit that usually amounts to half of a healthbar worth of damage.

I've been struggling a lot with Valiant Gargoyles (as you do). But then I found out that you can stance-break and crit them, and thought that if I can sneak in a couple of Dragonmaws on the first one the fight would become absolutely trivial. And this is exactly what happened, beat them first try with this strat.

Since then I've defeated some bosses only using this incant without even swinging my regular weapon. Still, I think it's fairly balanced because you actually need to look for a big enough opening to use it (or trade damage), and yet deliver bites close to each other to drop the enemy; also it eats a ton of FP as per usual for the dragon cult.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experiences. I reckon it's not really useful for PvP, but it's worth a try in PvE for anyone running faith build and struggling with a boss.

I'm replaying the game right now and I semi accidentally killed Rykard before entering the Altus Plateau etc. by arriving through the Abductor Virgin.

And I wonder if this route is even intended, because it kind of feels like breaking the game.

Sure, the jump you have to do is a bit precise but not too bad (I didn't even know how to do this skip exactly, just tried this jump for fun and got it first try), and the fact that they didn't patch it out after all this time points to it being intentional. But then it majorly breaks like 3 or 4 questlines without any warning.

I feel like the player should be rewarded for going out of the box and not punished esoterically.

>! I'm not mad or anything btw, this is my fourth playthrough or so.!<
