The moment when you can say “ me too “ .

“ I can identify with that “

“ I know what you are thinking and how you are feeling”

A long time ago I discovered the art of making conversation

How emotionally charged it was to resonate with another .

To enjoy the depth of making conversation .

To make someone else feel their words are important . Their thoughts really count .

Not in pretense , or disguised in politeness , but because their thoughts actually do .

I seek to perfect it .

How wonderful it is to engage .

The hyperbole of Poetry is its sweetest part

It is good to get carried away on the themes of our writing

To be carried off high on the wings of a Phoenix

Flying too close to the sun.

The Best part of poetry is , it frees us from our chains of sensibility . It makes me speak in exaggerated tones.

It’s the only time I can really get carried away in my feelings .

It’s refreshing for my soul .

Then I come back to the simple things of life and I live my life .

These frequent breaks I take and hyperbole of Poetry are needed .

To find temporary relief from the demands of life

I bathe my soul in hyperbole

Paper Roses is this love or is it real ?

Or is it just an illusion that is fake?

Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference .

For paper roses last forever and never die

But Paper Roses aren’t real but they’re fake.

Though I love the feeling and illusion love brings

It is good to feel whether fake or real

So it’s not a total loss

So I continue in this charade .

Paper Roses I give to you 🌹

Flowers have a beautiful fragrance .

It’s lovely to walk through a garden taking in all the sweet and fresh fragrances .

The visual accompanied with the refreshing fragrances are sweet and full of life .

So it is with a woman with the scent she wears

An often overlooked sensation not talked about enough is the scent so sensual and distracting .

The sense of smell is such a wonderful gift and a sweet hidden attraction .

We are often too visual as men and it’s good to have our other senses awakened .

The scent of a woman may be the final attraction that seals it for me .

Something beyond my eyes but almost like an invisible aura .

This summer when we walk among the flowers let’s not just be taken in by the sight of the flowers but also their sweet scent .

I love walking in gardens in the summer time. Just as I always love to take in the sweet scents of the spring and the summer .

Awaken our senses and be aware of them .

You are the beach I am the sea

We belong together you and me

There are moments my desires exceed what’s allowed

But the laws of the universe repel my over reach

It bids me go so far and no more

A forbidden love is a hidden love

Though limited , it’s very much enjoyed

The restraints we have are nice and only adds to the wonder between you and I

Everything is so classy by design

The perfect gentleman

The most gracious lady

Just the way attraction was always meant to be

You remind me of the old romantic movies

The lady is the one really in control

As she gets to determine how far it goes

The waves lash

The waters run up the shore as far as they can go

Only to be repelled and sent back again

Just like our desire.

To repeat the process over and over

Words interwoven

Connected like an inseparable fabric .

Our words becoming one

Our thoughts united

The beauty of conversation where your words become mine and my words become yours

I know you can feel it and I feel it too .

Those moments when kindred spirits become connected

You speak my language and I speak yours

Our words meld

Our minds meld

Our wills meld

It is good to make a sweet connection .

Going deeper

Writing about deeper things

Going into the heart of the matter

Where I really live

Where I really dream

Where I really draw my strength

Where I really draw my energy from

No more living on the surface

But having eyes that really see

The heart that hurts

The mind that’s in prison

Seeking to unlock the prison doors through my words

Give me the key to lift the weary hearts

To comfort the hurting soul

For words are power

They either crush or break us

Or they make us whole .

To have words to make the heart love again

To help those who have lost their way

Find their home again .

Going deeper .

The clouds come rolling in

But I love the tension in the air

The rumbling of the thunder in the distance

The forks of lightning lighting up the sky .

It’s been dry and boring for to long

I love to watch the drama that’s about to unfold .

These spring storms bring such refreshing

There’s nothing quite like them and the skies they form .

Learning to embrace the drama in my life

For a life of boredom isn’t what I was made for .

Too many days have wearily passed away meaning the same .

It’s time to live life from your heart and make it count .

Bring on the troubles they will only make you grow .

Never a dull moment in this life we hold

Running out of pain

Being soothed by the rain

For I love its sound

It sounds so comforting as it falls to the ground.

It’s sweet, refreshing smell replacing the scorching heat

A picture of the transformation in my soul

My soul was scorching hot

It was thirsty, needing a drink

You came with soft and comforting words

No promises no demands

You poured into my soul what I needed the most

A Sincere and honest friend

I cannot stay in this place of sorrow for too long, so I love the comfort I receive

Coming to the end of myself, the end of pain

Into a beautiful new beginning

Alive in my thoughts

It’s where you belong

May you find a place always inside my mind

The mind is a wonderful place

The mind is a terrible thing to waste .

So you are in there .

It’s complete with you inside .

Like a garden with roses

You fill my mind with a lovely fragrance

The thoughts you have shared are planted inside me .

May they bear sweet fruition .

May they produce your likeness

It is good to have you inside my thoughts

Welcome to my world

The door is always open .

Come on in and find your rest

You know you need it .

Just be yourself and be free

You know I won’t judge

I only give you rest

Nothing questioned

Nothing asked

Just bask in my freedom I offer you .

Leave the past behind for a while

Don’t worry about the future

For all you have is now .

Welcome to my world

You know your heart craves this

My place is yours

Pining for someone that broke your heart ?

What a strange thing to do .

For if you got them back they would only do the same again .

Life on repeat , they hurt your heart , they ask for forgiveness , you Forgive them because you want to prove your love for them

But the problem isn’t in your love for them , but in their love for you .

Will they ever really change?

It’s the possibility they will that comes you coming back for more

While all the while you waste your years .

For the love you have would be better served by placing it in another who would really appreciate it.

Open your eyes , there is so much more

It’s time to leave the past behind

There will be a better day for you

I can breathe again

It’s just me I am free

Loving my freedom after feeling imprisoned so long .

Only to find the prison was in me

For I was the one that made the bars

I was the one who locked the door .

Now I see this I am free

I unlock the doors and I breathe easy as I take in all the clean air around me .

No unrealistic expectations

No unusual demands

Enjoying life to the full

The weight from my shoulders has lifted

Now I am free to be me .

Look into me eyes

They are like blue oceans

Restless in their current state of affairs

Longing to be somewhere else

I fight against the boredom on the outside by looking deeper inside myself

I have found the treasure inside me this life cannot afford .

Look into my eyes

Swim inside my ocean

Lose yourself in oceans and skies of blue

Be at peace as you find rest for your weary soul .

Bathe under my blue sky .

Leaving an impression not soon forgotten

Forging a stamp and impression upon your soul

Branded by the hot iron of my words even after you are long gone .

An unrealistic goal ?

Though I pray my poetry leaves upon your soul thoughts planted deep and never to be forgotten

May our poetic encounter

No matter how long or brief be rich and deep

And my I speak the love language of your soul

What is this pure ideal we seek that is just beyond our reach?

We can almost taste it

As sweet as honey is the language of the soul

Our desire and hunger for it proves its existence

Though we seldom attain

We keep searching till we find

This hunger in our hearts for something real keeps us writing , keeps us digging until we reach the endless fountain of the soul

I dance alone in the middle of the night

My sweet dancer where did you go?

For this dance wasn’t meant to be danced alone

One minute you were there

The next you were gone

Caught up in the mundane things of life

You are missing the rhythm

You are missing its beat

Your heart has become covered in things that don’t really matter .

Buried beneath the weight of responsibility

You try to break free and the chains tighten

I reach in with my loving hand and I pull you out

It doesn’t take long for your heart to recapture its rhythm .

Doesn’t it feel so good to be free

Never let anything take you captive again

For you were meant to dance this dance of life .

Let’s dance the night away till morning light

Listen to my heartbeat

You will hear things you’ve never heard before

The deepest mysteries await you

They are yours to unlock and enter in

Explore the treasures you have never known

They are yours to enjoy if you dare to enter in

Perhaps you will find your heart beat with mine

In perfect unison and memory

We unlock the memories and get to relive their beauty .

Though you have some low notes and sad themes you cannot deny the song still inside you .

Perhaps it’s the sad notes that makes us long for the happy high notes again .
