What are your hopes, dreams, expectations, etc for the Connies' gold passes?

We can theorize about a mk5 all we want, but we know for a fact that the mk4 will at least get a gold pass, right?
Here's my hopium huffing:

Expectations:

  • Components and weapons stay the same and are physicalized (if no we riot)
  • The cargo bay is widened slightly (Getting out of an ursa or MTC is a little cramped, doesn't neccesarily increase cargo capacity)
  • We keep things like swivel thrusters and strutted cockpits but the exterior is modified to better fit the current game and new interior, gets the new stuff from the Apollo/Hermes like the elevator
  • "living room" is shuffled a bit to accommodate 2-4 suit lockers, maybe some small windows?
  • The Taurus gets better access to it's rear cargo bay + scan masking abilities

Hopes:

  • The Aquilia and standard cockpit can be swapped out like the Shiv's cosmetic modules
  • Keeps the millennium falcon/ Sulaco/ Serenity vibe instead of going for dark grey and blue like the zeus or polaris (I know it didn't happen with the aurora)
  • The Snub gets a better docking port that makes it less visible when docked (and docking actually works)
  • The nacelles fold up in landing mode like the original concept to save space
  • The landing gear is on the hull instead of the nacelles (somehow, idk) so that they don't just float when they get blown off. maybe the bottom nacelles also fold up, to reveal landing gear?
  • The snubs get a small refresh to go along with the Connie changes

Dreams:

  • The Andromeda swaps out the snub for a tailgunner manned turret. It's a gunship, so it's meant to stay and fight and does not need a distraction, it needs crew to put fires out when needed. Plus nobody likes dying in the snub and missing out on the rest of the fight. If it needs to be balanced I'm sure nobody would mind loosing a few missiles. (let older backers keep the snub, it can fit in the cargo bay anyway)
  • Some of the smaller variants get an extra layer of cargo (vertically), so that they can fit even numbers of larger crates (I doubt anyone would complain, it would still be smaller than the hermes)

Did I miss anything?

Quick help question: Variable is not defining itself as a float for some reason

same as titled. I'm trying to implement a vehicle suspension system using a raycast, and the code will not consider "center_dist" as a float (I have tired with and without the Float()) and I have also tried changing the variable's name.

Any advice, or am I missing something obvious?

If it helps, I'm following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MqmFSn1Rlw&list=PLiRELyH-yJivTRnpjr0nHeGWncLiMmD2D

Edit: I have exactly the same code as the tutorial (minus a few variable names being different) but the tutorial's code is able to run in this state.

Why do refuelling ships have such low capacity?

Sorry, bit of a vent here:

I can haul 32 SCUs of fuel on a cargo ship in a 32 SCU crate. How does a container basically three times its size only hold 20 SCU? How the heck does a avenger titan hold 10 SCUs of fuel?

It's made worse by the fact that you cannot re-dock to a ship in a refueling mission. if You're running the starlite you'll have to make multiple trips, sometimes even if you have a full tank.

Like, really? I would've expected CIG to buff refuelling ships this patch to sell more starlites, not nerf them.

It seems like they want to reduce capacity and increase efficiency of every ship, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

For those who think that the M80 looks like a Kruger....

Concept E looks awfully familiar, doesn't it?

on another note, I hope the Kruger medium fighter looks like either F or B.

Barring a potential Kruger medium fighter, my 1.0 all-LTI fleet

The starlite's price was a pleasant surprise, I figured it would be more useful than a UTV.
