I miss this game

Hey everyone, don't know if there's any OG members of this subreddit from back when MW19 launched, but I used to make funny trolling videos using the underbarrel stun and flash launchers. The Gunsmith in '19 was the most raw, ambitious shit I had ever seen. It's still probably my favorite gunsmith for any game I've played.

I remember playing MW2 (2022) at launch and I was really upset. They had completely eliminated all of the fun movement tech that I loved so much in MW19. No bunny hopping, no slide canceling, no drop shotting. Visual smoke and noise while shooting, so much that I was losing gunfights because I was on PC and I couldn't sticky-reticle through the goddamn visual clutter.

I know people talked a lot of shit about MW3 but I thought it was significantly better than MW2. They reverted the movement changes and increased the time to kill so you could outmaneuver and turn on people if they catch you by surprise. I do not play Call of Duty campaigns so I was extremely pleased with MW3 multiplayer experience. The downside of the multiplayer experience was not having brand new maps. Having all the original MW2 maps was a pretty fun experience regardless because they're great maps.

And then all of the Black Ops games came one after the other. I only play those games for zombies. In general I don't like the cartoonish, stylized art design of the treyarch/black ops franchise. I've always preferred the modern, gritty Infinity Ward art design.

But now MW4 approaches. Will it be a return to form? I don't know. If it can capture the magic of MW19 for me, that would be swell.

Does critical acclaim matter to you if deciding to buy a game?

I bought and played all 8 of these Sony games because of the metacritic. I use it all the time. I tend to generally agree with the consensus with some exceptions. Very useful.

About halfway through I was just laughing too hard to stop.

Just gonna keep trying to brute force. Its not like mewtwo has a teleport.

Rosa is so fun to me. Why is Rosa dead last in character popularity?

You can do such cool movement and attack canceling tech with her. I think its neat. Shes great to counter all brawlers.

Divisive Opinion - R6 is my all-time favorite game

A sincere video laying tribute to the game that changed my life over the course of 10 years. I've grown up and became a man during this game's life span. It's been a formative part of my life.

The 'dead game' cope

I see disillusioned/bitter r6 players constantly saying this game is dead or its on its way out and it baffles me. I have plenty of gripes with r6. Theres plenty of reasons to be frustrated with the game state and persistent problems. But it consistently is in the top 10 most played game on both consoles and also hits over 100k players on steam on a daily basis.

Where does this talking point even come from? I understand not liking what r6 has become or that its lost its 'identity' (the fortnite-ication of siege) but saying the game is anywhere close to dead is such a laughable conclusion. Is it just people being bitter about the game?
