we heard you all and honestly, you’re right to be annoyed

the collection mechanic didn’t seem fair to a lot of you who put in real time and effort and still couldn’t complete the set

that’s on us, not on you
we’ve always been a skill and community platform first, and did a luck based experiment, which didn’t seem to land well with some of you

we’re taking all the feedback seriously and going back to the drawing board on how we can improve for any other upcoming campaign or feature in the app.

matiks only works because of this community and if the experience doesn’t feel good for you, it doesn’t matter how cool the idea was on paper.

There’s been a lot of rumours, confusion and queries regarding the ongoing world cup campaign on the app.

We’ve tried to address most of them, and if you’ve any more questions, feedback or anything else to say, feel free to drop them below

Q1: Why am I stuck on 1 or 2 cards?
A: Totally normal! Epic cards are the rarest by design (Common > Rare > Epic in drop chance), so the last couple always take longer. Hang in there!

Q2: Why are so many low-streak accounts getting rewards?
A: Reward distribution follows the overall player pool, since far more users are in the early/low-streak range than in the 100+ streak range, it's expected that more winners come from that group. It's not tied to streak length, just when you complete your 11th card.

Q3: Why are you giving rewards to bots/employees?
A: That's not accurate. Employees are explicitly prohibited from claiming jersey rewards, and every winner so far has been independently verified as a real, unique user (no bots).

Q4: Why is Matiks doing a luck-based event?
A: Matiks has always been a skill-first platform, and that's not changing. This event was an experiment to bring in more casual players who don't always engage with pure skill formats. Skill-based events remain our core; luck-based ones will stay occasional, not the norm.

Q5: Our the jersey’s official?
A: Yes. Whoever collects all the 11 cards, will receive the official world cup jersey within 10-15 days of filling in their details
