Pornstars per Million inhabitants across Europe

This map shows the number of pornstars per million inhabitants across European countries. The data comes from adult industry databases that list performers by nationality or birthplace, then divides those numbers by each country’s population. It includes people who have appeared in adult content over many years rather than only those currently active, so the figures are cumulative.

Czechia and Hungary come out far ahead of every other country on the map, both sitting well above 70 per million. The next highest are Latvia and the United Kingdom, but the gap is still large. Most of Western and Northern Europe falls into a much lower range, while several countries in the Balkans and Eastern Europe show very low rates.

The concentration in Czechia and Hungary is often linked to the fact that both countries developed large, low-cost adult film industries after the 1990s. Prague and Budapest became major production hubs for European and international studios because of lower costs, available infrastructure, and relatively permissive regulations compared with many Western European countries.

It’s worth keeping in mind that these numbers depend on how databases classify performers and how accurately nationality is recorded. Different sources can produce slightly different rankings, but the overall pattern of Czechia and Hungary leading by a wide margin has remained consistent for years.

From Maria Alm to Königsee, Tirol/Austria to Berchtesgaden/Germany, an easy Intro into Hut2Hut hikes

A nicely prepared path leads to Riemannhaus, a rather well renovated Hut, from there a very well marked track leads to Kerlingehaus, and from there through the infamous „Saugasse“ down to the well visited Königssee.

Had two hiking novices with us and this was a nice intro into easyer hut2hut hikes. Wich would you offer, if a complete nube would ask for a hut-Hike?

Schwertfisch, was sind eure Gelingtipps?

Optimal wird er bei mir sehr kalt aufgelegt auf relativ heißem Grill. Drehung mit Pallette statt Zange.

Wie macht ihr ihn, oder auch Tunfisch, Bonito etc.?

Valldeon - Refugio de Vegabano, Picos de Europa, Spain

The scenery and landscapes here couldn’t be more varied. From meadows to holm oak forests, high-altitude alpine pastures, heathlands, alpine trails, and bogs—this 20-kilometer stretch truly has it all. This area is simply unique and beautiful.

Top of „El Cable“ via „Canal de la Jendruda“, Fuente De, Cantabria, Spain

We really like to use the Rother hiking guides from Munich as a reference for hiking areas. Depending on the author, the difficulty ratings vary slightly. The Julian Alps have been rated quite challenging so far. Now, the description of the route mentioned above also falls into the “challenging” category.
It requires absolute surefootedness and climbing proficiency. At the start of the scrambling section, my wife and several other hikers turned back toward the valley. That’s because the trail through this gorge has become downright dangerous. Amid the scree, there are frequent sections where quite brittle rock lies exposed.

This makes the climb a rather hair-raising undertaking and, in my opinion, no longer belongs in a hiking guidebook.

How have you noticed this trail changing over the years?

Is there still a shortcut to the mountain station of the cable car? All I could see (see photos) was a well-filled-in gully with climbing sections. So, as recommended in the ROTHER guide, I walked straight through the cirque to the hiking trail and back to civilization.

Ruta del Cares, Picos de Europa, Asturias, Spain

Today’s hiking trail follows a maintained path alongside the canal, which was cut through the rock in the 1920s to power a hydroelectric plant. A spectacular route through a massive gorge. While technically easy, hikers should be prepared for some exposed sections.
