I've tried many rust products over the last few years... I finally one I'm happy with - none of them! 

Here's how you do it: 
Steel wool + hydrogen peroxide + vinegar (1:1 ratio) + pinch of salt
(See last image) 

Wrap the steel wool around the part you want to rust, spray/paint with the mixture.
Wait until it dries.
Remove any remaining steel wool. 
To make rust darker, let it take longer to dry (eg. Keep in a shaded area.
To make rust lighter, let it dry fast. (Eg. Put it in the sun, use a hair dryer). 
Can also use tape to hold the steel wool against the model for better contact. 
The results are truly spectacular - this is me applying it to a 3D print I did, spray painting painting in dark metallic acrylic first.

If anyone has anything to add on changing/modifying the effect, please let me know! 

The model I'm using this on is Dog from Half Life 2 (sculpted it myself).

The most dramatic finding is that AI adoption is now being framed as a workforce survival issue: 60% of companies say they plan to lay off employees who can’t or won’t use AI, while 77% say AI-resistant employees won’t be considered for promotions or leadership roles. At the same time, leaders are building a clear divide between “AI elite” workers and everyone else, with 92% of the C-suite actively cultivating AI super-users and 87% saying those employees are at least five times more productive.

The report also shows serious instability behind the hype. While 97% of executives say AI has been beneficial, only 29% report significant ROI from generative AI, and 48% say AI adoption has been a massive disappointment. Internal tension is also high: 54% say AI is tearing their company apart, and 29% of employees — including 44% of Gen Z — admit to sabotaging their company’s AI strategy.

Used 80% Blender, 20% Zbrush. Lab coat was the hardest part, I’ve never done anything like it.

For some reason the singlet was quite easy, but the jeans were troublesome.

Was very tricky to work out how to get the singlet to go onto the torso and have the labcoat go over the top, then have the headcrab go over that.

Worked out quite well, as the headcrab ‘locks’ everything in place.

I’m particularly happy how the saw blade cuts into the wood, quite proud of those little splinters! I used particles to distribute them over the area I weight painted in.

Anyway… back to painting - can’t wait to do the blood!

Spent a few months modelling on this guy (on and off). Was quite a challenge getting the singlet/torso/labcoat/headcrab to fit together right !!

About 33cm tall, printed on an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra & an Anycubic M7 Max, using ABS like 3+ resin.

Spent the last few months sculpting this on and off, finally finished the print. Sawblade and wood base is painted, just gotta get to work on the rest!

Nanobanana through Gemini has a MUCH higher native resolution than ChatGPT Image 2.0… what gives?

I just subscribed to ChatGPT, and I’m really disappointed at how low res the images are.

Don’t get me wrong, the creative and aesthetic quality of ChatGPT is generally much better than Gemini… but I find the only way to get hi res images is to upscale a ChatGPT image using Gemini.

Is there any method to get natively higher res images out of Image 2.0?
