[OC] I've been building a character sheet app for years now, and I finally decided to share it

This is an app I've been working on since 2020 now (2017 if you count the one I made before this), and I finally built up the courage to share it here. It's a mobile character sheet, like D&D Beyond (but without all the built-in content, because licensing).

I built the app a s a customizable character sheet, and indeed you can create your own systems with custom rules with it, but D&D was, of course, the foundation I designed my tools around.

The app offers decent homebrewing support, complete with automated effects (so you can create your own race that automatically assigns your own feats and updates your stats), on top of the usual features you'd expect from a character sheet (stats tracking, inventory and spells management, dice roller, the usual).

There is still a lot to be done, but I always welcome feedback - it's really the main motivation behind most of this.

If you'd like to check it out, the app is called "Rollplay - Character Sheet", links below:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.daydream.cs

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rollplay-character-sheet/id1629416212

Thanks :)

I'm working on a customizable Character sheet app, so people can set up their own "D&D Beyond" for their own games. Some people asked how/if they could set up their own key attribute like D&D has, so I made this video.

I would love to hear some feedback, both about the video (still very new at making videos, I'm never sure how much context I need to provide vs how short I should keep them) and the tools themselves; are they intuitive enough? Do they seem simple enough to use?

Thank you!

I'm finally wrapping up with creating library content from the web so you can share and play with it on the mobile app. This is part of a web tool that allows you to create your own mobile Character Sheet, so you can set up your own D&D Beyond with your rules, your content, automated and ready to run for your players.

So far, this is quite basic: Create, Edit, Delete stuff. Icon selector, and an Effect Editor (which is a whole beast on its own, allowing you to automate a bunch of effects). It's also possible to remove some of the fields you might not be interested in, like Value and Weight.

But I'm interested to know what further tools you need.
So far I have 2 on my list, but I have question about both:

  1. A "bulk import" tool, like import from json/xml/csv.
  2. A way to add custom fields

I would love to hear what further features you'd need from such a tool, and any requests and thoughts about existing ones would be very helpful also.

Help me make a useful tool for creating and sharing your TTRPGs :)
