COLD B2B GIFTING (high value items)

My agency serves a very small niche, and our average client is worth $60k+ per year.

We’re considering sending iPads(or other high value gifts) to a handful of highly qualified prospects, purely to get their attention and earn a meeting/call.

Has anyone tried something like this? Did it work, or did it come across as too gimmicky?

20M Looking for opinions on my teeth/bite

I’m looking for some opinions on what kind of treatment might make sense for me.

Would this be something that could be treated with braces alone, or could I potentially need palate expansion, extractions, jaw surgery, etc? Also, do I have a crossbite? I’m not 100% sure...

US Sourced Income for Foreign LLC

I'm a non US resident looking to form a Wyoming LLC.

My business is a monthly managed website subscription that includes website design, development, copywriting, maintenance, updates, hosting, and domain registration.

All of the actual work (design, development, copywriting, maintenance, support, etc) is performed outside the US. My clients are mostly US based.

The only US connection is that I use providers like Netlify for hosting and NameCheap for domains.

From what I've read, services are generally sourced where they're performed, so the design/development income would be foreign source. But does bundling hosting and domain registration into the subscription change that? Could that make any of the revenue US source income or effectively connected income?

I'd appreciate any insight from CPAs or people familiar with US international tax. Thanks!

Canadian tax treatment of a US LLC with a Canadian partner

Hi everyone,

My co-founder and I have been researching this for a while, and the more we read, the more confused we get about the Canadian side of things.

We're in the process of starting a US Wyoming LLC. We've already spoken with US CPAs and are comfortable with the US tax side of the structure. Our concern is specifically how Canada would view it.

The setup is pretty simple:

  • 2 owners, 50/50
  • I'm a tax resident of North Macedonia
  • My co-founder is a tax resident of Canada
  • No office in the US or Canada
  • No employees
  • Everything is done remotely
  • Most of our clients will be Canadian businesses(around 90%)

What we're struggling to understand is whether Canada would try to tax the LLC itself, or only my co-founder's share of the profits.

For example, if the LLC makes $100,000 in profit, would Canada potentially look at the entire $100,000 and impose corporate tax on the company, or would Canada simply tax my Canadian co-founder on his $50,000 share as a Canadian resident?

I've read a lot of comments saying that Canada doesn't treat US LLCs the same way the US does, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer to what that actually means in practice for a situation like ours.

Any insight would be appreciated.
