If Phoebe Bridgers is booked on the 2027 lineup, do you think she would be top 4 or 5-8?

There have been a handful of people suggesting Phoebe Bridgers as a potential headliner for the 2027 lineup, but the placement of her on (early) lineup predictions has varied. Where do you think she would be booked on the lineup if she does get booked: top 4 or 5-8?

For background: After performing surprise pop up shows in various cities across the United States to large demand coming off of a hiatus, Phoebe recently announced her third studio album and an accompanying arena tour which is completely sold out. Some of the major cities in which the tour is hitting, such as Chicago, have multiple dates due to demand.

Which acts who have played any Lollapalooza have had the biggest falls in popularity?

There’s been lots of discussion about acts playing as an undercard or sub on the lineup and then booked in a much higher spot a few years later (Geese, Olivia Dean, Charli, etc.) but what about the opposite? Which acts, who once were booked as headliners, subs, or high undercard acts would now be booked much lower on the lineup, if booked at all?

The obvious answer to this is Chance the Rapper. He was top of the lineup in 2017 and since then has had quite the fall in popularity and way less momentum than he did when headlining Lolla. Unless he regains momentum again, the chances of him being booked anywhere as high as he was in 2017 are quite low.

Also, certain indie acts of the 10s, e.g. Passion Pit, Phoenix, Death Cab for Cutie, MGMT, etc. were typically billed very high on the lineup back in the day but now would be much lower on the lineup, if booked at all.

Which ones come to mind for you?

Do you think Taylor calls the paps when she goes out? Why or why not?

Just curious on everyone’s take on this since we have been seeing a lot of paparazzi photos of Taylor this year and we get them more frequently with Taylor than any other popstar.

Does anyone else wish there were less repeat acts on the lineup?

There’s nothing wrong with Riot Fest having its staple acts like Gwar every year, but a lot of the upper card acts (Alk3, Bad Religion, Morrissey, Pennywise, Gogol Bordello, TBS) taking up higher up slots that could go to different, non-repeat acts, would be nice and make the lineup look more unique.

To be clear, nothing wrong with the bands themselves, just with how frequently some of them have played the festival over the years and wondering if others feel the same way?

If Coachella had a one hit wonder stage, who would you want to perform on it?

I will start with a few:

Nine Days
Wheatus
The Click Five
Hoobastank
Fountains of Wayne
Daniel Powter
Howie Day
Edwin McCain
Rusted Root
Phantom Planet
Baha Men
Natalie Imbruglia
Yael Naim
Augustana
ATC
Stacie Orrico
Anna Nalick
Dexys Midnight Runners

The only caveat is they must be a one hit wonder.

Puts The Beths way more in play now as this is the week after Riot and there is no Chicago date on their tour with Beach Bunny. By the time Riot rolls around it will have been about 10 months since their last Chicago show which makes their chances to be on the Riot lineup seem good.
